I create a panorama and I want to imbed also a video (LivePano). I use a Canon Mark 111 with a 8MM-15mm Fisheye lens. I put all on Manuel (focus-apeture-exposure). If I put the camera, after taking the panorama, in video mode. The question now is: - do i need to use the same settings when I take the panorama
Hi Tri60, i'm not a specialist, but yes, the shooting for the photos and for the video have to be at the same point. An other thing is that if you use 8 mm instead of 15 mm on your lens, it may result in a very low video resolution, compare to the resolution of the photo.
Thanks Gabriel, Will this mean that I should tape the panorama also with 15MM instead of the 8mm? In that case I shall need to make more photo's. With the 8mm I do 6 photo's to be sure with the overlap.
Hello. You need to make sure that you are shooting 8mm for the footage and the images. I always start with matching the white balance and getting exposure the same on vid/manual photo mode. Then I shoot the video and immediately after take the rest of the photos. Best to use a remote as any shaking when changing modes can cause alignment issues. On my sigma 8mm the video is always a little different than the pictures. I recommend getting the subject directly centered in the view and not being to close to the subject as the larger the polygon crop shape in the livepano the larger the chances of alignment issues. You also want to make sure that the vid snap shot does not have the subject in the frame. Have the actor walk in after 2 seconds of subject-less video
