Vernissage / opening day

by Christian Stüben » Wed Mar 25, 2015 10:58 am

Hi all,
my first "real" 360°-moovie:

http://www.bkg.wtal.de/ (scroll half page down)

Yes, boring 15 minutes of the opening speech, cut together from 5 Ricoh Theta 3-minute-clips.

You can hide/show the gui elements, you have several entry points (Kapitel / Chapters).

The improvised player can handle multiple "film reels", either hosted by eyes.kolor or youtube, every "reel" can have multiple entry points. And still some formatting problems when viewed with firefox, please use Chrome, IE, Safari.

Do you have any suggestions or thougts concerning my improvised gui?

greetings from germany

I found it interesting (well, I didn't understand any of the German... ;) ).

If you are going to add buttons to increase/decrease the playing speed, I would recommend adding one that would get the speed back to normal, because there is no indication of the current speed other than the people talking like zombies (slow) or minions (fast).

Since there's autoplay, I can't read your "splashscreen", it goes away too fast.

The logo is distracting to change the video quality, the focus leaves the menu to focus on the logo, so I can't change the quality.

Hope this helps =)

Good idea.

It simply tells you that "be patient, the projectionist is changing the film reel". For viewers with slooow internet connection.

Maybe i will make two hide-buttons, one for kolor gui, one for my gui elements.

Did you try Firefox? Here it runs flawlessly on Safari, Chrome and Firefox.
Maybe you´d need to check your Safari settings. Did you activate WebGL?

I´ve tested my scripts with Chrome, IE, Safari, FF on windows. My Mac is too old to install current webbrowsers.

Do you have javascript enabled?

Which OS, which Browser do you utilize?

Does the "play-button" from kolor work, or does it denie operating too?

Firefox 37.01.1 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

Video works but page layout appears odd - or is it meant to look like this?:

Nope. It should look like the example Destiny showed. With some early FF versions i had similar problems, but the current version should be ok.
