Hi.. I can see you put a lot of thought and work into this project.. Therefore its hard to make true critical comment since you have put in a lot of effort into this project. However, I will mention that I feel that the quality of video is just not that great.. It seems to have been way over optimised.
I will leave it at that... Loved the intro credits though...
Even if we put a lot of efforts, we are still in the experimental phase, we try and learn by making. So we appreciate any feedback What do you mean exactly by " feel that the quality of video is just not that great. It seems to have been way over optimised"?, do you talk about the compression. Could you tell us how did you watch it in 3D, 2D in 720p or 1440p?
Thanks.

Hi "The Film Making"" Regarding the credits, we use after effect and the plug-in Sphere Utilities (Cycore FX)
Hi.. How many times did you use a CODEC with your video during editing.. I viewed it on my Mac, normally good quality video views quite well.. Different CODECs as you know produce different quality.. The lossy of your video seems to be far too much as seen by me it looks to be an equivalent to a JPG at an opptimisation level of about 30 ish..
Even a MP4 can have many outputs qualities depending on the software used, which depends on the settings of the software.. What software did you use to create the final video.. Premiere Pro I find to have issues depending on how the video was created, but Final Cut Pro can do a lot better... I can take some screen shots of your video if you like to show you what I am seeing..
I hope you will not be offended by my comment as I'm sure you put lot's of effort to make this video: 360 is to see in ....360 :-) That being said, your video is just 3 stand alone videos the person can panned and watched one by one. Then the improvement that brings the 360 is not used in your production. It would be better from my point of view the dancers could move everywhere and free to the viewer to move around.
Regarding the quality, same comment than Destiny.
Anyway, don't give up, those technologies are just starting so we must continue to explore and improve.
Actually, viewing the poor quality was my fault.. I did not set the 1440 quality... After that it was fine.. but took a long time to load and play at that setting... Not sure the dancing was my thing.. The music scared my little girl.
I am not able to view it in 3D..
Like Morgan said, we need people like you to continue to use this technology to inspire others... For me the hardware is just too expensive.. It will need to be a lot cheaper before I will invest.. Unless I get some work using it... Then I might think about about it..
Like thefilmmaking has asked. What export settings are you using to get a file that will upload to kolor hosting? Can seems to make any edits and have the codec accepted. Thanks
No worries, as I said to Destiny, we are still experimenting and exploring this new media and trying to understanding its language. I see what you mean when you say "3 stand alone videos". I don't totally agree with you though. 3 dancers are in the same place, sure they don't move all around but they are in a 360 space. Furthermore, as this is the same dancer performing 3 times, we wanted to first test this idea of cloning people, so we keep it simple and didn't make them move all around. It's gonna be the next move.
