Is it better to stitch all images at once, or 2 seperate big images

Is it better to process and stitch all the images taken at once, or to stitch 2 (or more) large .kro files after each has been processed seperately?

If I do a shoot that takes 2 days, I'm going to end up with 2 seperate batches of images and 2 seperate xml files.

Is it easier to edit the xml to make them all 'fit' into one stitch?

It really depends on the type of job you are doing.
For bracket series, I would say, one stitch job with several layers.
For gigapixels panorama, stitch everything in one path is better too.

So ideally everything in one stitch then...

Is there a way to edit the xml files to combine to days worth of shots into one stitch? Or can I use 2 xml files in a single stitch?
