When I apply autopano to real world digicam photos everything works fine.
The results are really good.
However occasionally I use a flatbed scanner to scan newspaper or magazin articles.
The overlapping scan results are not always accurate in the right angle BUT they are always FLAT.
When I apply now Autopano onto such a multi-part scanned article the Autopano
ALWAYS introduces a slight distortion onto the result just as if a perspective view
was included in the original. Of cause this is never the case. The newspaper are always flat scanned.
Minimal distortion will result in fuzzy font characters and make the result unreadable.
So I would urgently need an option in Autopano to tell "do only (if necessary) a rotate but NEVER distort
fragments (even not a single pixel)".
Or is there already such an option?
I don't want to deal wih focus lens values or similar (it does not help).
I want a menu or checkbox: "originals are from flatbed scanner".
Can this be introduced in next release?
Thank you
Peter

The Free nodal point feature in V2.5 is supposed to handle this situation I think.
Try V2.5 Alpha 1:

One solution with the current version :
- use the image editor to say the focal is 1000 mm
- disable "lens distortion correction"
Launch the detection again and it should works perfectly
