Why would you bother to use the Gigapan Import filter for a pano comprising a single column of seven images?

How much overlap is there between the images?

Enough for the gigapan stitcher. Enough for APP if I give it more columns. Prolly 30%.

how are your AP settings?

Dectection quality: standard (activated) (high gives often bad results)
Layout: free /singel row or column (second should be better in your case)

Detection:
Force every image to be in one panorama? (yes...)
Detect links in: All stack levels (activated...)

Optimization Presets: Gigapixel (gives in most cases better results for me with 4x12 images with 30%overlap)
Optimization:
DISABLE Adjust lens disortion
Advanced Options:
Optimzer Stages: all disabled, only Final Optimization enabled...

Liebe Gruesse,
Georg

Hi Georg,

Thanks for this suggestion but I'm sure my settings are fine. My reasoning is that when I don't use the gigapan import feature the images stitch perfectly. I should have said that in my original post *cough*. Also other gigapans stitch properly, inlcuding this one if I import a second column.

Cheers,

Aeris

I've worked a lot on gigapan improvement, but it doesn't support one column or row yet.
