Hi Andrew,
a bit at a loss here. I am using sony alpha 900 files, the RAW version ARW files are not supported. I wan to maintain best possible quality for print, hence jpeg is out of the question. My files are coming from Capture one Pro. Looking at the manual, it appears there is only the DNG option left. Does that not have a 2 Gig limitation? I did not know about this TIFF /AG? restriction.
Best
Georg

Well... I reduced the number of tiles until I did not get the 2 Gig message anymore, on rendering, suddenly AG quit. Below are the releeant report parts.
My Mac is a 8 core 2.93Ghz, 32 Gig Ram. Temporary folder is on a 100Gig RAID-0 slice. I am on OSX 6.2 Not sure what caused this and what I can to do work with AG now. Does AG officially support Snowleopard?

This issue with rendering is easy to solve by changing to PSB format. You will be able to open that file directly in photoshop afterward which is really better than tiff format.
About the crash : it's a mac only issue. It remains me of an incompatibility with another software growl. Do you have this one installed ?

No growl here.
Yes PSB appears to be the only way for now. That means developing RAW in Capture one, going to photoshop to convert to PSB, then open in AG if I am not mistaken.
Thanks Alexandre

Well, you can develop the RAW files and save them as TIFF or PSD or PNG or JPG and then use those in APP. After that set the rendering format in Autopano to PSB.
Offline
1) RAW developping in capture one => output as tiff 16bits or jpg depending on the quality you need
2) use the tiff or jpeg in autopano => render in PSB
3) use photoshop to finetune the panorama.

I finally got it, thanks Alexandre!
My error of thinking was that AG can not produce panos with more than 15 or so of my TIFF files, hence the 2 Gigabyte error, but what I missed was that I always output to TIFF, and the resulting output needs now to be PSB to serve for sizes larger than 2 GB.
What I don't know is related to color management. My TIFF files are developed in ProPhotoRGB. Is this profile is still embedded in PSB when rendering a panorama?

No, we don't know yet how to transfert the profil back to the PSB format. But as the pixel haven't been affected, you should just assign back the ProPhotoRGB profil in photoshop.
