Hi - I have a Canon EOS 450D with Samyang 8mm FE Lens and have taken 4 shots all the way round the room + 2 above and 2 below - at opposite angles - equalling 8 shots.
Could someone advise as to what I'm doing wrong!!??
Thanks,
Cpt.

Shooting just 4-around with a Samyang gives rather small overlaps; this will make stitching more difficult especially with a scene such as your example which is not exactly full of features for auto CP detection.
So I suggest you try again this time shooting 6-around at something like -10 to -15 degrees of pitch (such that you get just the outer edge of the pano head rotator in shot) and one up (a 'zenith' shot) at about +60 to +65 degrees of pitch.
Shooting the 'zenith' in this way, rather than at +90, is more likely to enable a good link between the 'zenith' and the main row when you have a relatively featureless ceiling as in this case.
Then if you still have trouble post the image set on-line and I'll happily take a look.
Remind me - what sort of pano head do you have?

Hi Mediavets - I've ordered the NODAL NINJA NN3 MKII from your advise on another topic. It's hasn't arrived yet, so I'm just using my standard tripod without a pano head for the time being. Works absolutely fine without fisheye lens.

Thats it.
If using Fisheye you must use the Panohead with setting the NPP. Otherwise it will not work properly.
I'm getting best Results, using the Nikkor 10,5 Fish and 6 Pics around + N + Z. But only with Panohead.
Without its getting terrible.
Anyway, sometimes the Programm "dont" work properly. In this case, go to Controlpoint Editor and have a look.
Maybe you have to delete some CPs. Sometimes APG is setting Controlpoints between Pic1 and Pic3 or between Pic5 and Pic2.
Delete this CPs - then click on "optimize" and the Result is getting much better.
Maybe you need to delete bad CPs and add some more CPs.
sometimes a try and error game.
Best Tipp: Take the Time and view the Tutorial Videos from Kolor!
Try to do the Photography job as best as possible. You will get less Problems.
Take time.
