DSLR Remote Pro and Canon Bracketting

Can the DSLR Remote Pro software

"Take HDR photos by automatically bracketing up to 15 shots varying the shutter speed or aperture" (from the website)

specifically on the Canon 7D and Canon 40D?

I've seen comments that the bracketing is restricted to the limitation set by the camera or does DSLR Pro handle the bracketing itself to allow for a much larger dynamic range to be captured automatically.

DSLR Remote Pro takes full control of the camera and overrides internal bracketing sets.
It also takes over focus control and provides focus-stacking.
It works fine! I used 15-step bracketing sometimes at sunsets.

Thank you Klaus, I just wanted to make sure before I bought a license for it
