Pano width on an Epson R2880

I'm currently printing panos using Autopano Pro, and:rolleyes: an Epson R800 printer, but would like to increase the paper size to A3 roll. I'm looking at an Epson R2880, but Epson tell me that this machine will only print panos up to 44-inches (112cm) wide. However, the R2880 printer driver indicates a maximum print width of up to 3,2m. I'm confused!

Is anyone using this printer, and could answer this simple question?

With best wishes,

Re: Pano width on an Epson R2880

I think there's something I don't understand here, or you're mixing width with length.

The driver should not allow width bigger than the width of the media selected and as for length - that depends on the device, media and sometimes - driver. On a HP printer we sometimes use, where the roll is 100 cm wide, we cannot create a wider file, but longer - no problem! Yes, it should be possible for the driver to say "one of the sides has to be less than 100 cm and the other - as long as you wish up to 50 meters", but that particular driver won't allow that.

You should look at Qimage printing dedicated software http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage/ or scan this Panoguide thread: http://www.panoguide.com/forums/qna/7178/

Re: Pano width on an Epson R2880

Thank you for your prompt replies. Sorry, I got the length and width reversed in my post. Qimage is just what I'm looking for, I'll try an evaluation copy.

Thanks to everyone for your help,

David.
