Hi,
We recently upgraded from version 1.x to 2 of AutoPano Pro. However, now we are experiencing a lot of crashes, even when doing panoramas of only 2 or 3 images (e.g. trying to launch 2 panorama detections at the same time).
The last crash just happened after deleting all the control points between two images, and then attempting to add new ones manually. This is the crash log:

Correct me if I'm mistaken but I believe you mostly shoot handheld?
You are probably going to have problems if also shooting such scenes with a relatively long focal length lens such that you end up with images with relatively few featuures for CP matching.
Why not a screenshot of your current pano in the Editor so we can see what you are talking about.
Better still put that image set - or a reduced size version of it - online.
One way or another you seem to be having far more problems with APP/APG than most people.

I did some more looking, and found the tutorial on manual use of the CP editor. I had seen a post that you couldn't do PtGui-like manual point setting, but was ignorant about providing "hint boxes" in the CP editor. The tutorial answered lots of my questions.
I mostly use a tripod, and was having trouble with some big fluffy clouds on a windy day with relatively large gaps of featureless blue sky. I recently got a 50mm prime for my Canon 50D crop camera, which works out to about a 90mm, which is hardly wide angle.
When I looked at the images more closely, I can see why APP had problems (RMS = -1.0) ... I was using the 10 second timer, and the cloud shapes were changing more than I realized between shots. With the CP editor (and detect quality set to High), I was able to stitch the following three images.

Thanks for your patient assistance. The problems I have been having mostly deal with BugSplats during auto folder detect. The nature of what I do sometimes results in folders with 500+ images comprised of 70+ small-to-medium panos (2 to 20 each). Also problems with bracketed HDR's.

A 'recipe' for stitching problems as you have discovered.

In such circumstances you should remove all CPs from the clouds using the CP Editor.

The issue of stitching panos of scenes comprising many featureless images - such as blue sky, or white ceilings and walls in the case of interiors - has long presented a major challenge.
The use a of pano head and a template can help - this is where you shoot a pano which has sufficinet features in all parts of the scene to get a good very stitch with which to create a template - a precise record of the 'pattern' of how the images relate to each other. You can then apply that template to other image sets shot to the same pattern but which may lack such good features for auto CP detection.
Another approach has been taken with the Merlin + Papywizard robotic pano head. This system can record the co-ordinates of each shooting position in a data file which can later be read by APP/APG to assist in positioning the images. This comes into its own when shooting high resolution 'mosaic' partial panos of say landscapes where there are usually a lot of relatively featureless sky images that would otherwise be 'orphaned' (left out) when stitching.
If you want to see how (well) this works you can download this sample 120 image set shot with Merlin + Papywizard which includes a data file:

First stitch this as you would normally and you'll find quite a few images are left out of the stitch.
Now try again using the File/Import/Papywizard import filter, and you'll see that the previously orphaned images are now included in the stitch.

To mention another aspect of APG, while staying with bugsplats. Like yourself, I tend to take a lot of panoramas but with only a relatively small number of images in each.
I have got reconciled to APG falling over because of memory management problems. I have found I can reduce the amount of rework through the use of APG's 'Save and Load Workspace' features - two icons on the main page.
Have you tried these out?

I'm finding that the APP renderer seems more stable if I run it "As Administrator". It is more likely to get through 30 to 80+ small to moderate panos that way. Perhaps it is having trouble writing to a partitiion or folder that ownership or privilege isn't simple?
