Maybe the message isn't accurate but it's understandable that your scratch-disk F: hasn't enough free space.
I don't know what would be the PDB file size but image size = 288960 * 70754 * 3 (RGB 8bit) = 57,1 GB
During rendering with smartblend, APP need to create many uncompressed 32bit temporary files, you shouldn't be surprised.
I don't think it's a bug. You just have to buy a bigger disk for F:

my scratch-disk is 8 Intel SSD's in RAID 0
. I think I will rather shrink the large picture
the problem is:
the large picture is 132 pictures at 100mm
a minor part is shot at 400mm
APP blows the large picture up to 400mm size, that is 16x
the resulting mixed picture will be 57GB, and 381GB scratch-disk will be needed
the bug is the message wording:
"critical error" not enough space in destination folder F:\
should have been:
"critical error" not enough space in scratch folder F:\temp

I agree. Here's a serious issue reported under linux and mac too.

Thanks, Alexandre, to change the wording to please to users. But I don't think you find any Windows 32b API to test available space for one specific folder ![]()

There's one : try to create a file with that size ! LOL

"Bien joué", Alexandre, but it's a kind of a posteriori error trapping. Can APP/APG estimate the needed size for rendering and alert user before starting in a priori checking ?
I will not be hard complaining if it's too diificult. ![]()

We try to estimate the size the panorama will need and we do that with large over size estimation.
So when it asked for 100 MB, it will probably only need really 50 MB. We estimate the worth case scenario.
