Panobook 2010 submission closed

This is really a success :
1392 images uploaded
638 contributors

What is the schedule now ?

* Tomorrow, 2 September, will be held here the jury session. One full day to decide for the panoramas.
* End of this week, I will clean the commentary of the selected images to prepare the translation job.
* Probably monday, the winner will be contacted invididually ( for a good news of course ) but more to be able to get some informations from them for the contact page of the book.
This page will resume the photographer name, pro / amateur, email, website. We want such page because we were asked a lot how to get the images. With that page, those who are interested will directly contact the owner of the image.
* For end of September, the layout / design of the book will be quite finished.
* Mid-October, printing should start to get a delivery in our office mid/end November.
* We'll open the webshop beginning of November for pre-sale and start shipping as soon as we get the book.

even when I may be one of the loosers:

I would be happy to get that info and take the challenge for the next years book - instead of waiting, hoping, getting nervous ...

so pls don't forget to notice the contributors who failed the examine too

Sounds interesting :-)
Do you have an estimation, when you made your judgement about this really big pile of images?

The jury has decided. We have 130 images for sure and 22 images that will give 20 images only ( 2 more to have some choice during layout creation ).

Sure. It was a huge task. The whole day, but the final selection is good with some really surprising images.

Don't desesperate wildpeaks,
I guess shooting a 20 gigapixels pano in Paris today was a "must to be done" for Kolor team and a priority that may have postponed other promises.

The question is: has anyone received a confirmation for selection yet?

neither did I =S
i had a funny panorama though: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/24049581
i don't remember which resolution i sent, but if it was small and that was the reason it didn't get selected, i could send a really big one

There is still a little bit of hope in me that the messages are not actually sent out to the lucky winners. big_smile

I guess, though, that congratulations are in order for the winners.

Hey guys,

could you please write in english language? At least, I know some french, but sometimes it's pretty hard to translate.

Back to topic:

Has anyone get a confirmation for selection? Probably not, so I'll keep my fingers crossed smile
