Hi,
I just noticed that when I render a panorama saving the final output in TIF, the EXIF data is not saved to the file (don't know if this also happens to IPTC data or other). It does get saved if I opt for JPEG or PSD but not for TIF.
I though this was a problem introduced in recent versions cause I had just upgraded to v2.0.3 when I realized about this problem but I then downgraded to 2.0.1 and the problem was still there, so I guess it wasn't working before I just never noticed.
What I did noticed was that sometimes (it doesn't happen all the time) the exported image (only saw this behavior in TIF by the way) had the "date taken" field set to the date the image was exported. So if I shoot a panorama on some day and only some weeks later I created the panorama, the date taken would be two weeks apart from the real date, which is wrong of course.
A little bug overlooked and a possibly a fix for 2.0.4, whenever that is... ![]()

Does TIFF support EXIF at all?

Yes TIFF has the same metadata structure as jpeg ( in fact, it's the opposite ... )
Yes, there's a bug on 16-bit tiff.

Hi Nazgulled, if you had spent some time to search and read in this forum, you knew about this problem, already in the todo list for dev's team. Then you save time: upgrading, downgrading, upgrading... ![]()

I did search, I only found a reference to it in the French forum which I used Google to translate the page but couldn't still understand much of it and I thought of posting it again, just to make sure it's known.

I'm having the problem 8-bit TIF though...

Yes, confirmed on 8 bits too. Found the real reason behind : exif structure is not the same stored in jpeg or stored in the tiff.
So what works :
- ICC / IPTC is transfered from jpeg/tiff to jpeg/tiff
- exif from jpeg is transfered to jpeg
- exif from jpeg/tiff is not transfered to tiff

Fixed.
