Spherical photos / VR tours

Hi Guys,

first i want to tell you did a great job here. Im really into this project.

I just want to ask if there is somebody who use Merlin setup to shoot VR tours. We are thinking about adding this service to our portfolio and trying to find best way to do this. If I got everything right it should work with some tweaking (program setup). It seems to be reasonably priced and supergeeky wink

Thx for your opinions

Re: Spherical photos / VR tours

Welcome to the forum.

Merlin/Papwizard can be used to shoot sphericals - using the custom Preset shooting mode - for VR tours but:

1. The nadir footprint is larger than that of a manual pano head.

2. If using a fisheye lens - then it's probably quicker to shoot with a manual pano head.

Re: Spherical photos / VR tours

The Tokina 10-17 fisheye is a good candidate.
