Hi everyone!
After a discussion in the forum, the 3rd Autopano Meeting will be held in
COLOGNE, Germany
on July 11 and 12, 2009
The Autopano Meeting is aways a very nice occasion to meet other Autopano users and the team of Kolor.
For the first time, this meeting will take place outside of France, and the language spoken will be mainly English. We will also have an interpreter talking German, French, Spanish and Dutch.
We invite all Autopano users to join us there. Beware that places are limited to about 50 people.
We are currently looking for accommodation and a meeting room in or near Cologne. Feel free to contact us if you know interesting places.

Après une discussion sur le forum, la 3è Rencontre Autopano se tiendra à
COLOGNE, en Allemagne
les 11 et 12 juillet 2009
La Rencontre Autopano est toujours une occasion très sympa de rencontrer d'autres utilisateurs d'Autopano et l'équipe de Kolor.
C'est la première fois que cette rencontre aura lieu en dehors de France ; la langue parlée sera principalement l'Anglais. Une interprète sera présente et pourra parler en Allemand, Français, Espagnol et Néerlandais.
Nous invitons tous les utilisateurs d'Autopano à se joindre à nous. Attention : les places sont limitées à environ 50 personnes.
Nous sommes actuellement en train de rechercher l'hébergement et la salle de réunion. N'hésitez pas à nous proposer vos pistes si vous en avez.
Une page spéciale a été créée et donne plus de détails sur cet événement.

Je suis bien partant,
juste quelques précision, si je viens en train, le trajet vers l'hébergement le la salle peut-il se faire simplement ?
Le dimanche vers quelle heure se termine la journée ?
Le cas échéant, est-il possible de réserver l'hébergement pour le vendredi, samedi et dimanche soir ?
Edit : et on parle bien de KOELN ?

Our German correspondent is currently looking for accommodation around the meeting place, so we will be able to advise you on hotels near the meeting.

C'est une auberge de jeunesse de bon standing qui propose des salles de réunion équipées.
Notre correspondante allemande est actuellement en train de lister les possibilités d'hébergement autour du lieu de la rencontre ; nous pourrons ainsi vous conseiller quelques hôtels près de l'auberge.
Si vous connaissez Cologne, n'hésitez pas à nous faire connaître les endroits sympas à ne pas manquer.

Marrant, y'a quasi que des allemands 
Un problème de langue, peut-être ? Sans rire, d'après ce que j'ai compris, il y aura un traducteur, donc pas d'excuse.
Cologne est une très chouette ville (avec un fabuleux musée du chocolat, à ne manquer sous aucun prétexte !), où il y a vraiment pleins de photos à faire. Et l'équipe Kolor est super sympa, alors si vous le pouvez, allez-y !!!
Pour ma part, je ne pourrai pas y assister : mes meubles ne vont pas se déménager tous seuls 
Je le regrette vraiment, mais bon... J'aurais bien aimé organiser une Merlion/Orion party : imaginez une dizaine de tête panoramiques alignées avec des télé de 300mm, pointant toutes sur le même édifice : un 100Gpixels en vue

(To Machart: this is strange, we didn't receive your first registration. Anyway, it is fine now.)
There are 36 registered participants + 4 persons from Kolor.
There are 10 places left (the meeting room is for 50 persons).
We are preparing the program and it will be online very shortly. We invite the participants who would like to make a presentation to send us a message. Last year for example, 3 or 4 users presented customized panoramic heads.

Some users will arrive on Friday. The team of Kolor will arrive on Friday evening.

SATURDAY 11TH JULY

9.30am > 12am | Photo outing in the city center. Shooting of a gigapixel image with a Merlin motorized panohead driven by Papywizard control software.
2pm > 4pm | Conference : presentation of Autopano 2.0 new features, including : GPU mode, settings, support of panoramic heads, Autopano Tour.
4pm > 5pm | Questions and answers
5pm > 7pm | Autopano workshop
SUNDAY 12TH JULY
9am > 9.30am | Presentation of Panobook 2010 project
9.30am > 10.30am | Conference : presentation of 3 motorized panoramic heads

THAT might be a bit of a problem . . . 
have you ever been in centre-Cologne on a Saturday morning?
Or drove in from the outer regions and looked for a place to park your car? Several cars? A convoy?
My suggestion: a place near the conference-place sure will do fine for shooting.

MAYBE (!) i can show a prototype of Josef´s hardware-controller for the Merlin (you remember me telling this one year ago? 
)
He re-designed it from scratch - great stuff! I´ll try to get Josef there or at least the gadged.
He also designed a very fine and small Lithium power-assembly which fits into the head´s battery´s place and lasts around (corrected) 6000 shots without charging.
