How can I unstretch my edges in Planar view?

Please help. I've shot the inside of this chapel and neither planar or spherical view stitch to my satisfaction. In planar the 2 side edges, distort too much and in spherical the roof beams are not straight. I used a canon 40d, sigma 10-20mm (on 10mm) on a NN3 on a tripod. I did the shots portrait shape at 30 degree intervals./Users/amy/Desktop/planar_chapel.jpg/Users/amy/Desktop/spherical-chapel.jpg

Current APP v1.4.2 has a limited choice of projections. The next APP v2 will have more projections, maybe
