Nicely documented - thanks for the tips.
The challenge is to find a plastic box the right size.
I've explored small plastic food containers - they have the advanatge of being made in semi transparent plastic, but haven't yet found one quite the right size,
I'm thinking I might use a spectacle case if I can find one the right size, because they have nicely hinged lids too.

My idea for attaching the container to the head was rather cruder - some velcro tape attached to the outer casing of the vertical arm

My original idea was to use the JVC box:

but I asked some friends and got a Kenwood radio-front box.
It's smaller, you don't need bridges for the module, just leave some original foam.
The idea is to mount it on the backside of the batterycap ( just sprayed it black) with Velcrotape.
No complicated constructions, no need to see the leds, the Nokia 770 connects automaticly ![]()
Photo's later........

I had built a box out of cardboard and coated it with 2 part epoxy finish to increase its strength, when I noticed your suggestion about the JVC Box. I always like things that are solid and easily replaced, especially when you attempt projects that no one you know has any ideas about it. Down here in Oz , even the importer of the head did not know how it worked and any conversation with them is more like you telling them. So as I continue to work with the Orion/Tronisoft/Papywizard/windows Eee solution, I keep coming up with different solutions. I see the whole assembly as a stand alone solution and I want to have a reliable, stable and robust solution. Thats why I went with this package. To me being able to sit in a pleasant spot beside my tripod and capture a panorama of the scene without having any equipment worries is what its all about.

So where do you buy these radio-front boxes?
This is all I could find on eBay:

Just ask your friends......
They might have dozens of them.
I never used mine and I have the JVC box here and you may have it.
Just mail me.
But if you can get a Kenwood box, go for it ![]()

Hi all. Further on the subject of a case for the Tronisoft module. I found that if you visit your local electrical materials supplier you can buy square plastic cable duct 45 X 25 that has end caps as well. Should be only a matter of cutting the correct length and glueing in the end caps. Top piece clips on with little pressure. Might be worth a try for those who cant find a suitable plastic box.
