I shot my first hdr gigapixel panorama using panogear and tc controller.If i process hdr with photomatix how can use xml data from the controller to allign the processed images;
The number of images is different because the brackets are in the xml.Anybody done that;

When ordering the TC controller you can choose which way you want to have the xml done:
A) number of each bracket recorded.
B) always ONE number per position.

With A) you can feed the bracketed shots into APG and get all shots positioned.
With B) you need to process the brackets FIRST in Photomatix (or other HDR-apps) - as you do - and feed the already tonemapped images into APG.
In that case only ONE image per position is taken into account.

You may contact Josef, the designer of the TC to send you a firmware-flash for your device.
I´ll send you his mail-adress.

can you send me an xml per PN/mail?

best, Klaus

If you want something you´ve never had,
then you´ve got to do something you´ve never done.

Re: panogear xml question

you also can contact Josef and ask for the firmware I got from him wink
I can do both with using different cableing ...
using the shutter plugin from TC <-> my Canon EOS
or
usign the Merlin shutter plugin <-> my Canon EOS

one of both does automatically record only 1 image per bracket I take
the other does automatically record as many shots per brackets I take

If I remember well there was also on forum some time ago a link to a html script that allows you to convert a bracketed xml file to a singleimage per position file (I have not found anymore that link...)

Georg
