Re: change the background color

I don't understand what it is you wish to achieve.

Re: change the background color

mediavets I think he/she is looking for the background to dim as the photo appears and when the photo is closed the background returns to normal.

I see - then I guess that would involve some sort of lightbox?:

Thanks you mediavets.  I was curious about this as well.  You pointed me in the right direction.  Thanks again.

Re: change the background color

mediavets, do you have a tip, the threads of krpano and kolor me does not help.

For example I found this here: http://www.art.trepa.ch/nava/

This is possible with ptp?

Thanks, Frank

wow thanks for sharing the link. lol
I followed the link to the company that made this pano...
... and I found this one:
http://panomagic.eu/en/2091/apartment/

be honest....
to take such a pano with such an interior is one thing;
using such kind of tonemapping is maybe a thing of taste;
but if you look out of the window and you do see (because of the bracketing) a complete scene which is so far away from what you wanna express with showing your interior......

back to topic: the loading percentage and the b&w preview and color loading of final pano tiles is part of krpano 1.0.8.15.
with current ptp 1.8 you cant do this out of the box.

preview & krpano: http://krpano.com/docu/xml/#preview
progress bar & krpano: http://krpano.com/docu/xml/#progress
the progress bar can also adopted in ptp 1.8: project properties->Appearance->Progress bar.
and according to ptp 1.8 template creation manuals/docus you can create your own progress bar animation...

Re: change the background color

short english abstract: uups. soory my fault. no this is not responsible for the darkended background when opening a hotspot. ... I'll post the 3-4 xml codelines needed to achieve what you want to do - est. 2 hours I can spend the time...)

Re: change the background color

in ptp 1.8 I did add one rectangle hotspot.
in hotspot properties I did link under "Opject" this hotspot to my image I want to be displayed.
I did use the fullsize.html template and did not embedd the tour and did export all xml files.
I used the default names.

I got:
build/virtualtour0.xml
virtualtourdata/graphics/spots/object0.jpg
and others (not needed to be changed for this example)

I create a png file with 8x8 pixel and filled with 100% black (attached file) and copy it to directory virtualtourdata/graphics/spots/black.png

opening the file build/virtualtour0.xml you see the hotspot like:

Code:

    <!--************** Hotspots and lensflares ****************************************************-->
    <hotspot name="spot0" onclick="closeallobjects();set(plugin[spot0object].visible,true);set(plugin[blackbg].visible,true);tween(plugin[spot0object].alpha, 1);" bordercolor="0xffffff" borderalpha="1" fillcolor="0xffffff" fillalpha="0.25098" bordercolorhover="0xffffff" borderalphahover="1" fillcolorhover="0xffffff" fillalphahover="0.25098">
        <point ath="99.4561" atv="-15.5941"/>
        <point ath="127.491" atv="-16.4851"/>
        <point ath="127.491" atv="16.4851"/>
        <point ath="99.2771" atv="15.5024"/>
    </hotspot>
    <plugin name="spot0object" visible="false" url="virtualtourdata/graphics/spots/object0.jpg" align="center" alpha="0" onclick="closespot0object();"/>

    <action name="closespot0object">
        if(plugin[spot0object].visible,
        tween(plugin[spot0object].alpha, 0);
        delayedcall(0.5,set(plugin[spot0object].visible,false));
        );
    </action>

now edit the code like this (the orange color is changed/added):

    <!--************** Hotspots and lensflares ****************************************************-->
    <plugin name="blackbg" url="virtualtourdata/graphics/spots/black.png" width="100%" height="100%" alpha="0.5" enabled="false" zorder="1" visible="false" />
    <hotspot name="spot0" onclick="closeallobjects();set(plugin[spot0object].visible,true);set(plugin[blackbg].visible,true);tween(plugin[spot0object].alpha, 1);" bordercolor="0xffffff" borderalpha="1" fillcolor="0xffffff" fillalpha="0.25098" bordercolorhover="0xffffff" borderalphahover="1" fillcolorhover="0xffffff" fillalphahover="0.25098">
        <point ath="99.4561" atv="-15.5941"/>
        <point ath="127.491" atv="-16.4851"/>
        <point ath="127.491" atv="16.4851"/>
        <point ath="99.2771" atv="15.5024"/>
    </hotspot>

    <plugin name="spot0object" visible="false" url="virtualtourdata/graphics/spots/object0.jpg" zorder="2" align="center" alpha="0" onclick="closespot0object();"/>

    <action name="closespot0object">
        if(plugin[spot0object].visible,
        tween(plugin[spot0object].alpha, 0);
        delayedcall(0.5,set(plugin[spot0object].visible,false));
        set(plugin[blackbg].visible,false);
        );
    </action>

Result: klicking on hotspot will open the image of the hotspot and the pano will be 50% darkened.

Liebe Gruesse,
Georg

in ptp 1.8 under hotspot properties: which options did you use?
... in your code: hotspot name="spot0" .... and than url="...spot1.jpg" is included. in my example there is no url tag at all. its iin plugin name spot0object...
whatever you use as imagename in ptp1.8 ... the generated code does use its own names in the fist hotspot is named object0.jpg...

PS: to make it simple just rebuild my example:

"in hotspot properties I did link under "Opject" this hotspot to my image I want to be displayed."

and than edit the code (white is original code generated by ptp and orange code I did add) It may be that if the hotspot image is not added in the "Object" line, that the ptp generated code may look different... for this my question at beginning...

Georg
