Growl error panel pops up with every beep

I did a search on this and didn't fin anything, so I wonder if I'm alone with this...

Whenever the app (APG 3.0) wants to sound a chime, I get the attached error panel that I must manually dismiss. For the record, I have the newest Growl installed on my system, which is a cleanly installed new 27" iMac i7. This problem makes my life miserable as I can't really enqueue a batch of operations as I need to be here pressing the silly Cancel button.

Any ideas how to get rid of this panel?  I really don't want to use Growl for APG, and wonder why it's even trying to use it as it's not a standard part of OSX.

Hello,

APG doesn't use Growl.

Maybe Growl intercepts some system notifications. Did you try to pause Growl ?

Thomas

Pausing or quitting Growl doesn't make it go away.
