Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to make a Cubic panorama?
I want to use this to remove the tripod from the image.
Thanks!
Adriaan.

Welcome to the forum....
Pano2VR, and it's very versatile Patch tool , is an excellent piece of software for doing this (and much else shoukd you wish to):

Pano2VR is not an image stitching program. Autopano Pro and Giga are image stitching programs.
Pano2VR can convert between panorama images formats of various types, extract rectilinear patches, and convert panoarama images to Flash and HTML/javascripty fromats (the new Pro version also has a tour builder) but it is not a stitching program.
If you (also) have Panotour Pro (Kolor's tour builder) then you can convert spherical panio images to cube faces using this software but it does not convert back from cube faces to spherical pano format. Or you can export the krpano licenses from Panotour Pro and use krpanotools which can convert both ways.

Hi Adriaan,
Do you really want to make a cubic panorama? Or is it that you think that thats the way to go to loose the tripod?
I know that autopano tour can export 6 files from each panorama.

Its only for removing the tripod. I heard the best way is to do this, is using the cubic panorama. Isn't that right?

Adriaan,
Opinions will vary. Also depends on the head you are using? Are you using a Nodal Ninja panorama head? If so, have a Nodal Ninja Nadir adapter?
Offline
Yes I do but without the adapter. Maybe that solves à lot. Now I see 3 big pots (poten😉).

Hi Adriaan,
The nadir adapter helped me a lot and the price is so small. Just be carefull not to tip over the tripod. 3 nadir shots at 120 degrees around the spot is normally enough, 4 are needed when there is shadow.
Maybe you can send me a set of photos of a typical panorama you shoot so I can see whether it is shot such that removal is easy or that I can give you some tips.
