Member from Canada request for help where to get a Shutter Release Cable for Panasonic Lumix GH1 for using in Merlin Head. Have bought a cable from Dinodirect on-line with one end 4-pole 2.5mm jack for camera and the other end with 3-pole for Merlin Head. But unfortunately cameera shutter cannot be triggered when start Papywizard via Nokia N810. Everything in camera settings are in manual mode. Can anyone help, appreciated!

You first need to find which contacts you need to close on your 2.5mm jack. It may not be the same wiring as in Merlin. Then, you need to make an adapter.

Claude, I appreciate for your uploaded image for the diagram on Panasonic wiring and for the Merlin Head. Unfortunately, it looks like quite technical. please forgive my incompetent knowledge on the electrical. To tell you the truth, I don't understand the structure in the diagram!!!
I measured using the multi tester on the jacks between the one plug into the camera and to the Merlin Head. The output I printed as the uploaded image as attached here.
My skill is limited to re-wiring the cord if necessary. I request your kind assistance in telling me how to re-wiring the cord or draw me a user-friendly diagram so that I can do DIY.
By the way, in your diagram for the Panasonic wiring, it looks like it required resistors in order to have the Shutter activated. But in the shutter release cable I have looks like doesn't come with resistors. Does it mean this is not workable???
