Hi Guys
I just updated it and I did a test with building a panoramic from my raw files: my DNG from Lightroom 4 and I got a strange profile management from AutoGiga
was not pleased with the result... any tips ?
do they have to be saved in Tiff ?
Please let me know
Many thanks, Thierry

Hi Thierry,
It remembers me this bug : http://www.kolor.com/forum/t15324-apg-3 … minor-bugs
in which we have some bad settings in the application.
Did you install some alpha version of Autopano 3 ? If so, please uninstall Autopano, and re-install it to have a clean install.
If not, then it might be related to raw decoding parameters. You can either try to change it in 'Edit > Preferences > Images > RAW decoding', or decoding your raw files in a dedicated software (such as camera raw, or any other). The second way is the preferred one, since it will let you have a lot of control on the final result.
Hope it helps,
Thomas

never installed alpha of Autopano.
the problem is i am doing this pano directly via autopano giga open files and download my DNG from my hard drive

Hello Thierry,
It should be a problem with raw decoding. Could you please upload some DNG to the ftp server (http://www.kolor.com/forum/t766-ftp-server) ?
Thanks,
Thomas

I am copying my 3 DNG to incoming, didn't find any folder so the files are _MG_5430.dng + _MG_5431.dng + _MG_5432.dng
please give me one hour to complete this process ![]()
thanks so much in advance,

Hi Thierry,
The raw decoding parameters are global to the application, and therefore, we tried to have values that worked for many raw file formats. In your case, it seems that they are not as good as expected.
In Autopano parameters 'Edit > Preferences > Images > RAW decoding', you can change the values to: Gamma = 0,6 and check 'Automatic brightness'. (Before running detection)
The stitching might differ a little, and you may have to add some control points to have the desired result.
Hope it helps,
Thomas

Thanks so much Thomas
I will appreciate, do you advise me to work with TIFF 16 bits instead ?
Thanks, Thierry

Hi Thierry,
In my own opinion, you can work safetly with TIFF. A good tiff is better than a badly decoded raw ![]()

what do you think about the profile ProPhoto RGB, that's the one I used when I exported my file to build my final visit ?
Many thanks, Thierry
