Dear Users,
I'm looking for some help on creating html pages to add to a virtual tour. I've noted a link to an example of the virtual tour.

One of the paintings has a link to enlarge it, containing some specific information about the image. My client also wants a URL link within the image to an external website. I sent the info request to Gerald at Kolor and he responded with the infomation below.
" I think that instead of displaying directly the painting thru the Object field of the "hotspot properties" tab, you can use the "HTML" field.
With a basic HTML file, containing your picture and the web link, you can have what your client wants.
If you want the HTML code to insert in the html file, you can ask for it to the users in our forum."
Can anyone help with the creation of the html code so I can embed this?

Hi John..
If what you are wanting is the hotpot on the image to open the picture with text then this is very easy.. You just need to make sure you keep the content simple or you will have issues.. Just add an image and text to a html page and call it Photo1.html for example... Then in ptp, place your hotspot on your Painting and add the url to the URL option... Done..

Another example:

Both examples use extra-html sites.

Gents, thank you for your responses and my apologies for the delay in acknowledging them.
Unfortunately I'm no further forward. If I may explain in a little more detail.
The Client wants a hot spot link from an artists painting within a virtual tour image. This link will open an enlarged jpg image of the same painting but with additional text explaining what the painting is and who the artist was etc. This part of the process I have no problem with, which is what I had shown on the example URL link in earlier posts (Klaus I think it's now working).
What the client then wants is another link from that enlarged image direct to a website where the viewer can find out everything they want to know. My question is how can I create a link from that jpg??
Unfortunately I am not well versed in creating html or xml files or where to place any additional coding. My current thinking is to tell the client he cannot have what he wants as I just can't see a way to do this.
Again any help ( easy to follow steps!!) would be extremely welcome.

You would do it in the HTML file you link to from the hotspot.
basic HTML code to link another web page from an image looks like this:
<p><a href="http://www.mediavets.co.uk"><img border="0" src="images/angel_doddington_01.jpg" width="300" height="412"></a></p>
It works for me.
ASyou willdiscover- the problem is that either you have to open the linked page linked from the image in new browser window or you open it in same window/tab as the tour. In either case the person viewing the tour will have some 'issues' when wishing to return to the same place in the tour.
It may be possible to do some clever coding in the web page linked from the image to resolve that - do you have any friends who are clever with scripting?.
