different RMS value with same pictures at different sizes

Hallo
to speed up the process and testing I sometimes downsize the big pictures to 1000pix (horizontal line)
when I process the small pix in APG 3 I get a much better RMS result (around 2) than I get with the big ones (5600pix horizontal line)
does anybody has idea why.
and is there a way to get the same result with the big pixs.
I think the only difference beside size could be that the smaller ones where sharped a little bit...
Thanks

Re: different RMS value with same pictures at different sizes

Hi Dani
As you can see in the second case (with the big images) you have a lot of not so good links between the images (orange and red colour).
Look at this links in detail (click it) and delete the bad control points, then reoptimize the grid.
(You have a special delete function in the control point editor to automaticaly delete CPs over a selected value, eg. over 5.0)

The reason can be that APG found much more CPs in the images with more resolution.
But the micro-expressions of the motive is probably greater than the RMS in the case with high resolution wink

The missing links between the center lines can be set manually in CPs editor.
