Bridge displays no .pano-previews after updating the computer

I had an old computer with win xp, Bridge CS4 and APG 2.6.3. 32-bit. Everything worked fine, but slow. APG created previews which were displayed in Bridge.

I have now a new computer with  win 7 64-bit. So I loaded AP Giga 2.6.3 64-bit, but still use my old Bridge CS4. Allmost everythig works fine and extremely quick. However no more previews of new created .pano-files are displayed in Bridge !

Pano-files created earlier on my old computer still display previews in Bridge. In the Explorer there are thumbnails of all .pano files, new and old.

It looks like a limitation of Bridge CS4 in the win 7 64bit ? Can this problem be solved somehow ?

I put this question allready some days ago at the end of a similar topic, but got no answer     sad

Re: Bridge displays no .pano-previews after updating the computer

So bridge doesn't display anymore thumbnails over an .pano file right ?
This is a bit technical : the thumbnails is an extension of shell called 'shellExtension'. It is installed during Autopano ( note : it can be unchecked, and if unchecked, no more thumbnails ).
If it doesn't work well, try uninstall properly autopano and reinstall it by beeing sure this 'shell extension' is checked.

Re: Bridge displays no .pano-previews after updating the computer

Hi Alexandrej,
you are right, Bridge CS4 (3.0.0.464 which is the newest update of a rather old Bridge-Programme) does not display thumbnails, whereas the Explorer does.

As you recommended, I uninstalled and reinstalled autopano and took care that the shell extension was checked.

The problem was not solved. Can the shell extension of the explorer be the problem, when the thumbnails are displayed properly by the Explorer ?

To make sure that I got the right results after reinstalling, I rebooted the computer. Then I opened some .pano-files and saved them with a new name. I opened Bridge and cleared the cache for this folder. No luck so far ...

Re: Bridge displays no .pano-previews after updating the computer

If the thumbnail are present in explorer, then I have no idea why bridge cannot use them. We don't install anything for bridge ourselve. If it worked before, then it is in bridge that the issue is located ( because explorer does show the thumb, so the shell extension is working ).

Re: Bridge displays no .pano-previews after updating the computer

To exclude a simple mistake during installation of Bridge and Photoshop, I reinstalled both without positive effect.
I can live with this minor constraint.
