autopano giga hangs at color constraint and if I disable color contraint it hangs at the next step, I am unable to get far enough to generate an error report. Is there a switch I can set to generate one?
There is nothing wrong with my pictures, it's a system conflict on two different machines that pretty much do the same thing, desktop and laptop. Windows 7

Right now I have the trial installed in three 3 places. The desktop on drive C with all the other stuff installed. This is the original partition that gets all the updates from windows, adobe, etc. Autopano hangs, but didn't used to. Install 2 is on the lap top and gets updated from everywhere as well, it hangs. Install 3 two days ago on desktop drive E: (system now a dual boot) and autopano trial is the only installed program and it does NOT hang.
I am using the trial as that is something that could not have been corrupted on my end. All system registry entries where scrubbed in regedit prior to installing the trials.
There is a conflict occuring in install 1 and 2. I need to track it down. I could take the trouble of starting over but woe is me when I finally install or alow that update that causes the conflict.
The laptop hasn't even been used to any extent in the past 60 days, but has been in service as the netflix and AVI player since I do not subscribe to regular TV so the conflict could be in codecs, drivers etc.
All systems have been checked for virus's, etc. by bitdefender.

that must be something other...
I've absolute no problem, even with color correction enabled, within seconds detected, even tried mask editor (with no big success...) and rendered at 50% within seconds again:

no CP optimized, only pure default settings used, detection of exif is also ok, fisheye and circular circle also ok...

That's why I linked in the photos, I know they are okay. It's a conflic somewhere and I need to figure out what it is. If I just format and start over I will still eventually end back up here and that's a lot of work with out ever finding out what the real problem is.

disable a personal firewall software
disable any kind of AV scanner
(just for test... the one or other implications got reported on forum...)
disable GPU usage
try GPU (old compatibility mode)
tell us more info... which APG version is causing troubles on your pc, which OS is installed, how much RAM, which graphic card is installed...

Firewall off, AV off, GPU off, Nividia card.
Using APG 2.6.3 trial for testing.
Still hangs at color constraint.
Once again, I have the trial installed on the same computer twice, two different boots, but both windows 7 (the same windows 7 CD). The only difference between the windows is boot 2 has not recieved MS updates. The autopanogiga install that works is in boot 2. Also boot 2 only has autopano giga, adobe cs3, breeze brower and photomatix installed. (I am adding programs slowly and checkinh APG after each addition)

my win7 64bit got all MS updates (AV scanner and KAspersky Firewall are also enabled) and I could stich your images without any problem (with and without color correction enabled).
I've also breeze DSRL remote and Adobe PSE and Photomatix installed, but not Adobe PS (and Photomatix not most recent version, about one year old)
and I do not believe its a demo/registered version issue...
so no real help for you...
maybe kolor team is linking in this thread ;-) to show some more possibilities/ideas...

I don't believe it's a demo, real, etc issue. I think it is my computer. That's why I want a way to create an error log so I can further track it down.

Hi Bill
If it works in the installation without MS-updates, and don't work on the updates, it'sperhaps one of the updates.
Could be a new graphics cards drivers or the .NET framework, if used by APG.
A other possibility, if you have two installations: What's with the temp directories ? Are they set well in both installations?

Two installations under two operating system installs (both the same windows 7). both installed into their default locations.

When the color correction hangs, it is not due to hardware at all. It is an optimization issue : the software wasn't able to find a good location for each images and this way, everything is scrambled.
Then, in color correction, there is too much work to do and it hangs. It could continue, but no one is used to such a long time in that part.
So do that in two passes : disable 'auto color correction', do the detection, correct the issue and then when having a good panorama, reenable the color correction.

I know it's not hardware, I have the current trial up and running on the same computer but a new (second install) of windows 7 on my E: drive. It is either a driver or software conflict, I just want to track it down so it doesn't happen again when I install a new program.

Tracked it down. My antivirus program bitdefender scews up autopano. Uninstalled it all works now.
