"Hotspot object" or "hotspot html"?

Hi all,
I need to ask you a technical question. Should I put the photos into a panorama as a link hotspot
1) I have to load a "pano" on the Internet to quickly upload photos should be inserted as a "hotspot object" or a "hotspot html"?
2) What is the size in megabytes of a "pano", to load quickly on the internet?
Thanks, and good day.

Welcome to the forum...

I don't really understand your question, or what effect you are seeking to achieve. ..but unless you have a reason to want to use Hotspot Link/HTML then I would use Hostpot Link/Object to display on image when clicking on a hotspot.

It doesn't really matter because Panotour/krpano's multi-resolution tiling means that online viewing performance is largely independent of the total size of the files that comprise the tour. But you should not embed all data because that will result in slower loading.

Do you expect any of your target audience to be dependent on dial-up narrowband Internet connections?

Mediavets Ciao, grazie per la risposta. Ci sono alcune cose che non ho capito.

I thought the "hotspot html" are quicker to load the "object hotpost"

So if I understand correctly, in panotour pro, a pano from 1.5 mb is equal to a pano from 5 mb?
will be loaded with the same speed?

I am creating a website, I bought a domain on Aruba nomedominio.it, Database MySQL and Linux Hosting.

Try it and see.

If you want explore the performance of multi-resolution hi-res panos take a look at the examples on the krpano web site:
http://krpano.com/examples/

Panotour Pro is a GUI front-end code generator for the krpano Panorama Viewers (Flash and HTML/javascript).

................

The reason I asked about whether your target audience would mostly have broadband or narrowband (dialup) Internet connections is that if you need to address a significant narrowband audience then you probably need to create a separate version of the tour just for them.

You should also give some consideration as to whether the majority of your target audience will be viewing using conventional desktop and laptop computers or handheld devices with much smaller lower resolution displays.

When it comes to virtual tours it is unlikely that one size will fit all equally well.

I suppose the only way to get a definitive answer is to try both, but it is much easier to do it with Link/Object than Link/HTML.

Re: "Hotspot object" or "hotspot html"?

For now target users are those using broadband.
In a second time, even those that use devices IPad.
Could you give me an example of "pano" to be published for broadband users?, An example Panotour pro?
An example: pixels and quality jpg for photos spherical.?
I use a fisheye lens canon 8-15
thanks

Re: "Hotspot object" or "hotspot html"?

How do you create a virtual tour of "multi-resolution" with "panotour pro"?

its simple:

1. add one pano with sufficient dimensions
2. build tour (as)

;-) no options - its done automatically.
