Hello Panotour users
I have the latest and greatest Pano tour ware but my host provider says that the software that Im using interferes with the html code and I receive an error after I post to the live web page.
So first of all do you guys have any idea how to get this stuff to work ? my tour is six panos and works fantastic on my local disk but when up loading some of the xml files become lost or corrupted (IO error)

Second if I can't get this to work on my provider those of you that are running a tour that actually works both on desk top and phone what provider do you use so I may get my tours up and running
Thank you for your time and help

its very easy.
1. Upload ALL files, all folders, all subfolders that get created by panotour. For this save/create the tour in an new and empty directory with whaever random name. Using a-z,A-Z underscore or minus sign can be used in filenames or pathnames.
2. use a ftp client like fielzilla, Core ftp LE or any other freeware ftp client (dont use webbrowsers with plugins for that).
3. connect to your provider using this ftp client
4. upload the content (all files/all subdirectories) of your "random named directory from above"
5. if your provider does block any of these files you can take ANY other ISP in the world - an ISP which dont wanna make money because blocking html files of the customer should be left asap

coreftp: http://www.coreftp.com/ (the LE is freeware, the pro is commercial)
PS: the rerors does say that the file (and maybe others too are missing on the webspace:

Georg has outlined the process I too have previously advised.
If you are certain you are uploading all the files and folders/directories, created when building the tour to a new folder, then you should check file permissions as I have also mentioned in a previous post.

hello Georg and mediavets, thank you for the help
i will try again to night after I give my 15 yo a driving lesson if I can still type
I did try fielzilla and still i was missing files but they were in the directory that I uploaded and actually before I wrote this note I checked if the xml files were in the directory and they were, including the combobox.swf I did check the box that includes the imbedded flash also
So I will start from generating the file from Panotour and then reload it via the ftp ,,,, the file name is ok isn't?
it with numbers no spaces ? 341LeonardLaneArlingtonHeightsv2
do you ever use the ftp that is in Panotour? direct to the server instead of using Filezilla ? just wondering
thank you again Tj

Are you teling us that some of the file don't get uploaded?
Did you check after uploading whether the files are on the server?
If they are then the problem is file permissions settings on the server.

It is OK - although I aleays avoid using mixed case. It's OK to use a hyphen where you might wish to have a space.

I have never used it.

That HTML file was NOT created by PTP it was created using the BlueVoda Website Builder.
I told you previously to use the HTML template (in PTP) when building the tour to create an HTML file to display the tour.

I take the build file and load that
yes I did try that and used the generic one and imported it to my web builder BUT everything works when previewed
on my local disk everything works great just like it is suppose to the problem is when its up loaded I receive the error that reads
ERROR: download of "http://virtualphotoservices.com/341LeonardLaneArlingtonHeightsv13data/graphics/combobox.swf" failed
this is the web page http://virtualphotoservices.com/341Leon … ights.html

Did I suggest you import to the web builder? - I think NOT! Just upload the files using an FTP program to your web space.
Once we can get the basics working then we can consider trying to integrate stuff with this (wretched) web builder thing.

When you view the uploaded files on the server using an FTP program is that file present on the server at that path location or not?
When I try to access it the server reports that it is not there.
Now it could be there but the file permissions may be refusing me access to it. So is it there or not?
If it is there then change the file permissions - using the FTP program.
............
I don't wish to appear rude but looking at your web pages and considering our interactions with you here on the forum I get the impression that perhaps you have very little experience of creating content for the Web - is that fair comment?
I'm just seeking to get an idea of what you know so that I can pitch my attempts to assist you at the appropriate level.
..............
If you want to give me access to your FTP account I can have a look at what's going on for myself - but do NOT offer access details here on the forum.
Use email if that's what you want to do that - you'll see an email link on the left column below my user details.
