Does anyone know if there is any way that an app could be built that would permit full resolution viewing of panoramic tours on an iPad?
Files for web are around 3GB
TIA,
Gerald.

It fact, it means multiple resolution on the ipad. It is not here yet, but be sure it will come in the future.

Gigapan.org seem to have managed to do it.
Hard cash available for anyone who can pull this off!

It would need stronger processors and more memory on iPads. Read what Klaus (KRPAno) writes on the KRPano site related to this item:

Nevertheless, it is doable of course, but hard. Gigapan.org displays only several flat images like zoomify. It exists since years already. For VR, everything is 3D on top of that flat image hierarchy : this is the complicated part.

How much would it take?
