Instead of BingMaps, OpenstreetMaps appears

Hello 2 all,
eventhough I activated BingMaps in Panotour Pro v1.8.0 and copied also a new BingMap key for a certain domain, OpenStreetMaps always appears ALSO online on this certain domain. I checked the .xml file and indeed BingMaps and key are in. Do not know why BingMaps is not showing? Does one have to pay or activate the BingMap Key? I have a key for Developers?

Link to panoramas: http://www.krautkraemer.de/panorama-tou … aemer.html
Link to .xml: http://www.krautkraemer.de/panorama-tou … raemer.xml

thx,
Francesco

Re: Instead of BingMaps, OpenstreetMaps appears

intersting that you could register more than one for the same "Application type" (I I understood your lines correct).

I've one for one domain x and with type non-profit.
trying to create a sedond key for domain y and with ANY (except the Windows 8 BETA) Application Type, I get:

My keys

You need a key to authenticate your Bing Maps application. You can create only one Bing Maps key for general Bing Maps API use.You can create an additional key for Bing Maps Metro style apps (Beta). If you need more keys, please contact mpnet@microsoft.com.

Key creation was unsuccessful. Please correct the errors and try again. •One of your keys must be a Metro style apps (Beta) key.

And I also did try to use (with success) the existing key for my domain x for the domain y...

Liebe Gruesse,
Georg

PS: did you use "Build Tour as..." and than the option "Delete all existing files before saving" after chaning the map type (so all existing files with old map data) get deleted?

Re: Instead of BingMaps, OpenstreetMaps appears

BUT if I do open your link to the pano... I get not OSM I do get Bingmaps... OSM does not have a satellite view so its the binmaps...
I created 2 demo tours one with OSM and one with bingmaps. both are different map material showinng but right click shows in both cases "powered by OpenScales"

if your map would be OSM you would see on top right a + sign where you could change the map layers (no satellite, only OSM and cycle...)

and one more hint: if you choose bingmaps in PTP and does not enter any API key, or any invalid one (spaces etc.) than PTP does create automatically OSM maps...

So ptp's "panotour maps plugin" seems rather to be a http://www.openscales.org/ plugin with options to use binmaps or OSM maps...

Georg

Hi, not sure is this related but I did a test using dualmaps.com

The test virtual tour can be seen at http://hanskeesom.xs4all.nl/panoramas/Noorderkerk/

like your opinions on it.
