Can I change the Highlight colour of the Panorama List?

Is there any way that one can change the highlight colour of the Panorama list menu in Extras from blue to green (for example).
Is it possible to change this in the javascript or css files once they have been exported?
Any help will be much appreciated!
Thanks
Hewitt

Re: Can I change the Highlight colour of the Panorama List?

I have fumbled around in the javascript, where the combobox plugin seems to reside, without success.  Could someone please assist me/us in a solution?

Thanks,

This is the krpano doumenation for the Flash and javascript version of the combobox plugin incorporated in krpano 1.0.8.15.

http://krpano.com/plugins/combobox/

PTP 1.8 incorporates krpano 1.0.8.14 rather than 1.0.8.15.

I see no attribute to set background colour in the Flash version of the plugin.

Hi!

Combobox is a .swf plugin from KRPano. So i guess it might be editable color-wise using Flash (the program). I would ask Klaus from KRPano about it!

best, Klaus

Re: Can I change the Highlight colour of the Panorama List?

Thanks everyone.  I followed the link mediavets sent.  Under the plugin attributes for H5, iOS I found this:

Use a custom image and style for the combobox.
Syntax:
customstyle="url|cbtextcolor|itemtextcolor|markeditemtextcolor|highlightitemtextcolor|gradientcolor1|gradientcolor2|bordercolor"
Settings:
url - an url to an image which will be used to draw the combobox.
Get the default combobox base-image here: combobox.png.
cbtextcolor - the color of the combobox title text.
itemtextcolor - the color of the items text.
markeditemtextcolor - the color of the marked item text.
highlightitemtextcolor - the highlight item text color.
gradientcolor1 - the highlight background gradient 'from' color.
gradientcolor2 - the highlight background gradient 'to' color.
bordercolor - the border / spacer color.

How do you use these items?  They seem to do what we are looking for.

Thanks again,
Trey

Re: Can I change the Highlight colour of the Panorama List?

You are right Klaus.  The fourth bullet point at krpano about the combobox plugin gives you a link to download the source file, Flash CS4 version.  You can edit the colors there and replace the PTP generated combobox.swf with the edited one.  Unfortuanately I don't know Flash so my result is a non functioning combobox, but It simply tells me the change in fact occured.  Link is attached.  I will get some basic skills down in Flash and have another go sometime later in the week.   http://revolutionimages.net/test/

Have a great day!

Re: Can I change the Highlight colour of the Panorama List?

Hi Hewitt, Trey and et al..

Have you considered using the krpano html5 combobox option? You can change the colour theme easy to what ever you want..  It also looks a lot better than the normal combobox.. and you do not need Flash to edit it.. . big_smile

This is just a demo test to show you..

Brilliant Destiny, as usual.  If you wouldn't mind and if time allows, could you guide me step by step how to do this?

Hopeful,

Re: Can I change the Highlight colour of the Panorama List?

Hi Trey

Sorry, not so "Brilliant", probably on the dumb side actually.. I have prepared a couple of html5 dummy grid virtual tours to send to you, where you can easily see the xml and html5 code to allow for the better combobox graphic.. I made the first test with the link I put up here, assuming wrongly that the combobox took its reference from the png graphic in the krpano examples.. But it doesn't so I have no idea why it is there.. I assumed that by changing the colour of the png you could change the colour of the skin.. But its not to be..

It works well on my iPod, I have just changed the graphic url ... I cannot see the code in the combox.js to change the colour theme either. Using the html5 option you can delete the swf since it has no value. It makes since for this plugin to use a skin and perhaps you can give the option to use it but that would be beyond my skills.. I am wondering if the theme is based on the computer system, so what I see is different to what you would..

I have played with the combobox.js but none of the changes I make reflect onto the combo box.. I need to experiment more..  You can easily use it as it is and I will be glad to send it to you.. I am sure this option will be in ptp 2.. So perhaps you can change the colour later when its available..

Sorry I gave you false hope.. sad It might be a fact that it takes it reference from the png when the tour is being built so the graphic is kind of embedded..

Destiny...

PS.. This is where I got the html5 combobox from.. Goto the bottom demo..  http://krpano.com/plugins/combobox/#top

Re: Can I change the Highlight colour of the Panorama List?

The htlm5 combobox is a true mystery... There is no physical graphic as such.. I can remove them and it all still works.. I can change the font colour using the combobox.js but its not easy to find the string of code.. its a bit of trial an error.. I cannot change the rollover colour, or the theme colour in any way...  Some of code appears to have no function at all... It is really cleaver for sure.. I think the theme is based on html protocols and linked to the system you are using.. But, the frame of the combobox sure looks like a png, but there is no trace of it.. It cannot be embedded into the swf since that will not work on an iDevice but it has to be there for it all to work.... Got me stumped... There is a lot of html5 code written into the swfkrpano.js file.. It all comes down to what html5 actually is.. The theme must be JavaScript generated....

Let me know if you need me to zip up and send the demos to you..

Destiny.

Re: Can I change the Highlight colour of the Panorama List?

Thanks for your tenacity.  Perhaps I should file this away for another time as I generally use thumbs for pano switching.  I just thought a combobox that had a palette that reflected the customers brand would be nice.  Again thanks for your exploration of the idea.

Re: Can I change the Highlight colour of the Panorama List?

Yes Trey.. I am almost sure that the graphic is a html5 generated one. I would really like the combobox to be a lot more feature rich with the new ptp V2.

I'm not much of a flash guy either but when you double click on the image on flash it opens up another where it shows the states.
