Re: using ultra long exposure to eliminate ghosts - also for panos usable?
Today I read an press article about photographer using ultra long exposures to eliminate any people from shot scene. In article they write about several hours of exposure and using a blackfilter
could this be practicable used for panos too?
Yes - of course. I used it several times with 2 ND filters combined. Set the camera to 50ASA and use 1, 2 or more ND3 filters. When they´re big enough you wouldn´t get vignetting by stacking them - used an adapter-ring for stepping up the size. A polarization filter will give you another -1f.
P.S.: i forgot to mention that i found it preferable to use a manual head - exposure-times of 15-20min or an hour and more you wouldn´t need a programmable head . . But an analogue camera and a good scanner . .

If you want something you´ve never had, then you´ve got to do something you´ve never done.
