Is it possible to add images to a group and detecting them without losing the control points that I made to the images already in that group?

no it's not.
but it's possible to keep the current ctrl points by to adding new images to a panorama in the editor then add ctrl points manually in the crtl point editor then reoptimize (recompute the panorama 'cause new ctrl points)
