Strange blur-effect after .hdr export

Hello community,

I have got a question about my HDR Workflow in APG.

After stitching of some bracketed shots, there are some strange blur effects at the .hdr export file. I can only see that while tonemapping in Photomatix 4.
For example see the detail of attached file #1:

Did I set some wrong settings directly in APG?

Here are my steps:
- Importing bracketed shots (tiff 16)
- Stitching to 360°x180° panorama
- Switching color correction mode from none to HDR at the edit panel
- Export settings see file #2 (unfortunately in German smile )

I hope you can help me! Thanks and kind regards
Sebastian smile

I remember of such bug in some 2.5 version, but not anymore in the 2.6 version. Which one are you using ?

Re: Strange blur-effect after .hdr export

Hi, 2.6 and since yesterday 2.6.1 - but the same there...

EDIT:

just played with the render settings...

Multiband to +1, now it looks much better, but there are some lines of the panorama layers in the sky an the ground?

@AlexandreJ: I just send you an e-mail including the project files. I think it is better for understanding and solving the problem. Thanks a lot!

Re: Strange blur-effect after .hdr export

In sent project, stacks are not done. So anti ghost will choose one picture by position and the fusion is not done.
So, edit the panorama and click on the button "group by speed" in "Layers" widget.

You can continue to play with multiband parameter. Big depth (0 or negatives values) will equilibrate the global light but you will loose contrast (between the sky and the tubes). Small depth (1 and positives values) will keep original light but you can see some exposure differences between brackets.
In this case a multi band value of 3 or 4 seems good. Exposure differences will be compensated with a small multiband depth and contrasts will be kept.

Re: Strange blur-effect after .hdr export

Very disappointing that there is no help/solution yet. The only way which works now is to export the APG stichting to panotools. After that I can render and blend a perfect HDR File with PTGui. But I want to use APG for all hmm

It shows again that there must be a bug in APG or wrong settings, but I've tried a lot. Please correct me.

Re: Strange blur-effect after .hdr export

In HDR rendering preset we use a multiband to reduce exposure differences between pictures. In this case, with the proximity of big lights (sky) and dark (tube) multiband will diffuse light into dark (first screenshot).
So linear blender seems more adapted to this case.

Unfortunately you also have to unchek the "remove HDR ghost" option which needs a multiband blender for reducing differences between stacks (second screenshot).

So choose linear blender and unchek "remove HDR ghost" for having a good result.

Some gray pixels still appear in the sky (where all pixels are burn in sources pictures). I have to check that.
