Hi folks,
I never do aerial panos, but I'm doing a commercial agreement with this company to promote our business, my virtual tour and them aerial videos.
I would love to make some aerial panoramas, but we have doubts if this is possible.
Has anyone here ever made panoramic aerial RC using the Pano Gear Merlin Orion Robot?
They have big machines with turbo engine, etc.. But they think it will be very difficult to keep the Heli stabilized long enough to capture the images.
Take a look:

Don't know exactly what you want to shoot, but have you considered aerial mast photography?

;-) a heli solution could look like:
http://www.gigapixel.at/marktschellenbe … enberg.swf
2 persons are needed: one pilot and one taking care about the images/video. above pano shows a video cam
the video image is transmitted to the glasses, the cam can be pan/tilt/shifted as desired and minimal changes in flight position is automatically absorbed by the
"photoshipone" device. the copter has also a holding position mechanism based on gps, a coming home function etc.
the photoshipone of course also can be placed on rc helis, the t-REX 700:
http://www.helipal.com/trex-700e-3gx-pr … combo.html
payloads from 4kg are possible with the Quadcopter from Vario:
http://modell-aviator.de/technik/quad-copter/
http://www.cam-and-carrier.com/
and if money is no topic than even more sophisticated copters are available... ;-)
