when importing RAW files the exposures are automatically adjusted

when importing RAW files the exposures are automatically adjusted which in turn affects my braketed shots.
How can I import raw without the exposure being adjusted?
or should I convert to tiff first?

Hi!

1) don´t import RAW. Use a dedicated application to "develope" RAW.
2) deactivate automated colorcorrection in the presets. Use it if you need it - not by default.

btw.: personaly spoken - i suggest to handle bracketed shots also in a dedicated app before stitching . . cool

best, Klaus

Re: when importing RAW files the exposures are automatically adjusted

Yes, Look, I can confirm that there is a slight shift when importing raw directly. It is caused by dcraw and the solution is not simple.
The idea : when importing raw, if you disable the auto range in dcraw, all image are really dark. It seems that camera raws has a table with raw from every camera and with a hardcoded range estimation to rescale the histogram uniformly for a given camera. dcraw don't have that and we don't have that either. Hard to do without a huge database of raw for every camera possible.
So, for the moment, we do a small auto range that could affect the difference of exposure on raw. Note : with our color correction system, it does recalculate this scale, but I agree, it's not optimal.

It's tagged issue 836.
