First, let me take the time to wish to all of you a Happy New Year 2012. I'm sure it will be really interesting for everyone involved in panoramic field.

Then, let's go into a first Release Candidate for 2.6 Autopano Engine. The 2.6 engine introduced a lot of new feature and algorithm and they need to be adjusted a little.
This first quite release is here to fix some real bug like the reload image crash, but also to change some internal algorithm to fix some remaining bugs.
The main issue could happen in some 360 degree panorama and blending around edges there. We changed the algorithm and it seems to work better but cost a bit more time ( perhaps 10% more during blending stage in rendering ).

Two notes :

GPU mode on by default : Autopano Engine 2.6 enabled by default GPU. It seems to create some conflicts on configuration where the GPU drivers are not up to date or not well installed ( laptops for example ). If you have strange crashes everytime, it may be the cause. So try without GPU mode checked.

Windows 7, 64 bits browser crash. This is a complicated bug that happens randomly when doing Browse Folder in Autopano. The dialog box appears and then crash quite directly. But sometimes it just works. It is not always and not for everyone ( a lot of customers don't have this behavior, but some always ). This bug is still unsolved here as it is can be caused by several external software having conflits with ours. A dedicated thread has been opened to find the different causes. It would be really helpful for us that customer that have this issue look at the previous thread so we can find the real reason.
