2.6rc1 crashed twice in a row when I tried to browse for images for a project. It also crashed when I browsed for a different render-done sound, though the second time that worked. I'm using Win7x64sp1 Ultimate, with all current patches.
crashes all look like:

I changed the memory used from 6g to 4g and it hasn't crashed since.
Actually to 3867MB, not 4g. I just bumped it 6743MB, and it crashed on file browsing. Reduced back down and it works fine.

So, you reduced the number of RAM installed and it solved this issue ?

Ah, sorry, I wasn't clear. I'm changing the "Memory Used" setting. My system has 16G of RAM.

Also, no problem configuring APP 2.5.2 with 6G Memory Used.
