If you want to make it in an individual node:

Just go to your xml - like this one:
<view fisheye="0" limitview="lookat" vlookatmin="-90" vlookatmax="90" fovmin="30" fovmax="90" fov="90" hlookat="33.25" vlookat="-0.08"/>

and set: vlookatmax="25" or what you need.

("-" means "up" here - so if you look down it´s without "-").

The Autopano Tour/Panotour Crop tool is not 'global' it's per-'node' (to use your terminolgy).

In other words you can crop, or not crop, each image in a tour separately and independently.

I see - but how to set it in a way it only limits the downward angle? How do you calculate the vertical offset to do so?
And how would you make it after you already built a tour? You can´t - you have to generate the tour again.

You see: it´s VERY simple do do it afterwards by changing just ONE number in the xml file related to the dedicated pano in the tour . . . .

That's always the case whether cropped or not - unless you change things by editing the XML.

uncropped version allows to view full zenith upwards beyond +90.

No it doesn't - well not for me with Panotour Pro beta 2 on Windows XP SP3 and viewing tour with latest Firefox.  I can see the zenith (+90) centre screen, but I cannot go 'over the top'. Can you?

Again I can't agree - if I crop at the nadir to avoid viewing the tripod area then I can still centre the zenith on the screen.

Can you post a screenshot of your crop? Could it be that you are (unintentionally) also cropping at the upper edge of the pano?

Here's mine - this rather nasty 360x180 has a particularly 'dirty' zenith so it's obvious in screenshots.:

Editing the xml in my eyes definitely is preferable. You can set Nadir completely independent from Zenith.
So if you have shot a Zenith but not a Nadir you can just restrict the downlook-angle without affecting the
uplook-angle.

And as I keep telling you, so you can using the crop tool - it is not a symmetrical crop you can adjust every edge separately, as my example above shows.

Oh and of course you can't edit the XML if (unfortunately) you only have Panotour, and not Panotour Pro!

The whole purpose of GUI should be to show us the "Real" preview of our tour settings which in the present case it does not do so, infact I would like to see even the buttons/html template/ & the drop down menu or whatever output its going to give us based on the settings.
