I use the 14mm f2.8 mk 2 canon lens with a 5D2 for most of my 360s. When I use APG (2.0.9 and 2.5b1 versions) the lens is detected as a fisheye lens. I workaround this by forcing it to be detected as a standard 14mm lens, however I thought it was about time to report it....as when I then go to stitch a pano from a different lens, I sometimes waste a considerable amount of time by forgetting to switch on auto detection again.
Thanks.

For the time I have been using autopano (Pro, Giga, 2.0.X or 2.5), I have always had this problem:
- I am working with a Nikon D60 SLR and a 10-20 Sigma Lens
- I use Nikon Capture NX2 to convert my raw files into tif files
And systematically AP detects my tif pictures as shot with a fisheye.
Hence, the first things I do when inputing the files in AP is to change the lens to "standard" and to modify the settings (the settings are also ticked to "fisheye").
It takes less than a minute; after that, everything runs fine...

i understand and have been using it this way for a long time. However, it would be best if I did not have to do this. What would be great is to have configuration profiles that could be used to set the config from say a shortcut. Clicking on 14mm360 profile would set the config accordingly, a shortcut for 200mm gigapxiel would set it for that etc. The minimum is to at least change it so it correctly identifies a standard or fisheye lens.

You could instead force the EXIF value for focal length and lens type:

thanks, but as explained in my first post, I already do that. But it is a pain as I do not just use the 14mm lens. Autodetect would be best as always forcing a type of lens is not good when I forget to switch it to automatic. It takes some time to detect 200 plus images for a gigapixel image, which is often wasted when I realise that in fact I forgot to switch off the 'force 14mm' option. The less configuration I have to do for each pano, the faster it is to process each one, as you know panos take a considerable amount of time to produce, anything that reduces that time, even by a little can be multiplied over a year to equal time worth saving.
The more I think about it more I think having functionality to have profiles would be great, as usually most settings for a 360 pano will remain unchanged for each one shot with the same lens/camera, the same for gigapixel images, 360 panos using a different lens etc. Alternatively, can I install multiple copies of the same version on the same machine? If it is possible, I could have several copies installed, each configured for a specific need.
