Improving and learning more about APG and Aerial Panos

If you are a Autopano Giga and Panotour user, what is your workflow for tweaking an aerial 360 degree pano after you have rendered it in APG and added a sky? Do you do offset it in Photoshop and if so what do you do specifically? What about exporting as a Cube face to fix up the zenith? I don't know...

Re: Missing image

"Papywizard to stitch other panos, as long as you use the same shooting pattern." this is a bit beyond me at the moment..not sure how to do this. Also do I have to be at the exact same height when I take images? okay, so now how do I fixed the sky for a full 360? I have a whole lot of &quo...

Re: Missing image

I just fixed the missing image by using "Guess Position" while highlighting what I believed was the mission image in the list below the editing window! It dropped right into place!

Re: Missing image

So you can't just download some skies, choose one that looks good and blend it in using masking and the gradient tool or the replacement fill? If I upload my images to drop box can you look at them and tell what I have done wrong. I really don't understand why APG decided to leave out my first 8 ima...

Re: Missing image

I found the control for forcing all pictures into the pano but they still didn't show up. I am wondering if my picture taking was no good, or perhaps I didn't have enough pictures.....can you have too many? Any suggestions so that APG works better?

Missing image

How do I fix the missing image? I took 26 images using a Phantom 4 Pro, Litchi. There was no wind so the drone stayed in one place. The imported photos show that I took three rows of images, eight images in each row and two nadirs. When I detect the images, APG doesn't seem to pick up the top row of...

Re: Strange AutopanoGiga behavior...

Hell:
It seems that Autopano Giga is not able to display a DNG file or a I am missing a setting. In Autopano pro, the same DNG files display fine when I click on each thumbnail for a full screen on the image, but in AutopanoGIGA I get this!

Re: How to calculate number images for an aerial pano

The Inspire has 360 degree gimbal. With apps like Dronepan and Litchi, it can be made to shoot the rows automatically and also point down directly. It can also point upwards, about 30 degrees.

Re: How to calculate number images for an aerial pano

Hi: Thank you for your response. The camera is the DJI Inspire Pro (drone cameras). It is very similar to the Panasonic GH4. It uses micro 4/3 lenses. It shoots in UHD 4:3 Lenses are interchangeable. I am using the Olympus 12mm which is fairly well known wide angle lens. There seems to be "gene...

How to calculate number images for an aerial pano

How do you calculate how many images you need to take to make a 360 degree spherical aerial panorama? Of course, I realize that it depends on your equipment. Mine is an inspire pro with an Olympus 12mm lens. I have no idea how many rows and columns and number of pictures. My attempts have also resul...

How many images need for an aerial pano?

Hi: I just managed to produce my first aerial pano with a DJI Inspire Pro and an Olympus 12mm. It took 71 images! Is this number really necessary? I took the images with Dronepan. It automatically moves the aircraft and camera. But, why this number of images for a good stitch? I tried with less imag...

Set up for Inspire 1 Pro and Olympus 12mm

Hi: I have taken a pano here: http://www.photosvermont.com/Mogan/Morgan.html this is my first one. Taken with a DJI Inspire 1, DronPan for DJI and an Olympus 12mm lens. Unfortunately, the only way I could make this work is with 71 images. I took it using DronePan, which was set to 10 photos per row,...
