Does not open without internet connection

Hi,
I'm not able to verify this anymore, but the just installed beta did not launch because it didn't find an internet connection.
As soon as I reset my connection it started just fine!
Check if this is what happened ( : it may be just a coincidence.

Re: Apple prores 422

Hi mrpatrickmalley, I am not quite sure what the issue is as when I do 10 videos it works I think that this basically means that the issue has nothing to do with prores but probably just that trying to stitch together 26 videos (which is a pretty large amount of videos) requires a lot of ressources...

Stereo options get overridden

On Mac, 2.2
I found that oftentimes, rendering one channel of a stereo video will override the left/right assignment of some cameras;
I have no other option than disable the other channel's cameras in the APG or AVP will just render both channels in one video.

Downscaling is performed *really* poorly

Hi there, so basically when we were viewing our 2160x2160 TB renders, we noticed some serious crappy aliasing. see this: https://imgur.com/FkGqwlD I got curious so I exported a frame at full resolution (11K) and downscaled it to the same resolution with Preview (so nothing really fancy) this is what...

Re: Edit button in AVP - still not working

yeah it kinda does that sometimes: be sure that your cameras are named cam1, cam2 or whatever1 whatever2 I made the sorry mistake to name the cameras front and back once and the resulting panorama filename ended up being ".pano" which kinda breaks every possible thing. They seriously have ...

Re: Sometimes can't move timeline cursor

happens to me a lot too, and while I usually do have a good eye on spotting bug causes, this has been incredibly difficult to pinpoint.
I do agree that it seems to happen after getting back from APG... but bump on this, it still happens a lot ( :

Re: Mix and match

The lenses are pretty much the same, but the color can be quite different between one edition and another (3 → 3⁺ → 4). You can expect some minor differences in distortions but we've worked with a mixed rig for months and while the image quality _will_ differ from one part of the video to another ev...

Re: 2 camera fisheye stitch from izugar

Has anyone tried the 2 or 4 gopro with fisheye lens from izugar or a 1.55mm lens? http://www.izugar.com/product/z2x.html I'm looking to see if we can stitch a 2.7k 4:3 fisheye lens off a 2 camera lens setup. Thanks Kolor. the lenses are a blast we all hope for a 8K/4K 4:3 GoPro upgrade so we can ac...

Re: Trouble with Stitching IZugar Z2XC footage

I think the actual official stance with these lenses is that you can just forget control points and optimization, or something like that. You just pan tilt and rotate by hand until you achieve the desired result This actually comes as bad news for me as I planned on using the rig for commercial shoo...

Re: Trouble with Stitching IZugar Z2XC footage

Of course automation is great and I'm all for it Quick question then: why is it infeasible for you to make a project with a perfect stitch by hand and then use that as a template? If you use a rig that's your best choice Aligning the two images by hand one time should not be hard and then you reuse ...

Re: Re Stitching a Missing Sky - Help! Thanks

Hi
just move the camera with the sky on top, no big deal (:
the automatic stitching has no detail on a clear sky to make control points on

Re: Trouble with Stitching IZugar Z2XC footage

Hi using control points with fisheye lenses is, to my experience, not feasible. You have to do everything by hand. Now the notion of rotating footage before inputing it into AVP/APG is a bit, let's say... ridiculous, not to be insulting at all (: because APG has all the tools for rotating the footag...

Reverting a superview camera?

Hi everybody
a colleague of mine shot a ton of video but set up one camera (fortunately, the one that looks on top) on 2,7K Superview.
I have now a bajillion takes with this problem; does anybody have a good idea on how to quickly revert the superview camera to a 4:3 aspect ratio?
Thanks

Re: Stitching 2 gopro with different lens - NOT working

Hi Michael, First of all you should do your tests in a larger environment with more light, more details and less close objects. Then you need to individually calibrate each different lens you are using. (http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/view/Autopano_Video_-_Lens_calibration_-_Camera_preset). Yo...

Re: Stitching 2 gopro with different lens - NOT working

When you insert control points and use the optimize function, AVP automatically resets distorsion and zoom in order to minimize the distance between the control points, that is why the FOV changes and whatever. Also, it basically doesn't work with such extreme fisheye lenses d: (so basically, forget...

Re: areas of interest

Expanding on your idea, I really wish that the blending algorithm was a bit more adapted to the problems one can encounter when making videos. APG was developed for photo panoramas, where you're supposed to know how to take panoramic pictures, which means that with proper precautions you have next t...
