once the application hangs and I have to kill it, I open the pano again, and it prompts me to find the missing images. I use the browse function for the 1-3 images that it managed to move, and specify where they got moved to. When I then go ahead and do extended save as again, it seems like it hangs...

I would suggest buying a card with the most stable drivers. GPU tech changes so fast, that the drivers are notoriously buggy and cause applications to crash.

move auto-save .pano file with extended save as

I usually have autopano auto save the .pano files it finds in case of crash when working on large folders of images. When I do an extended save as with the "move" option I'd like the pano file that was saved to be moved rather than a copy created in the destination.
Thanks!

Cassini, if I understand what you are asking, it does something similar. You can use the "browse folder" function which will divide the images in the folder in to logical groups (based on time elapsed between images). it will then look for panos within each of those groups. When it finds a pano, you...

seems much better in 2.6.2 but just had it happen once with 2.6.2 (no moving or copying images from the panorama just a straight detected pano from a group. I may have combined groups tho not sure)

Update: It's still happening in 2.6.2 RC 1. It seems to move the first image, then go in "not responding" using one entire cpu core. Unfortunately when I kill it by hitting close and windows says not responding I'm not getting the "send to microsoft" dialog with details just "close program". It seem...

[Win 7 x64 APG 2.6.0RC1] RAW+JPEG in different groups

I have two different cameras modified for Infrared. I shoot RAW + JPEG with them as I have a custom white balance set to make them black and white and lightroom doesn't deal with that well. When I use Autopano to "Browse Folder" It almost always puts the RAW files and the JPEG files in different gro...

It could be a blending issue still, when you blend with a soft edge, it will average two pictures together making it look like it is out of focus.

Are you using GPU mode? Also, how much memory do you have reserved for rendering in the preferences? Alexandre told me to set that low for large detection jobs (it's for actual rendering not preview rendering) I've found with very large numbers of groups and panos detected the program will run out o...

Thanks for looking Alexandre. Now I know why it takes so long to move panos. Doesn't the operating system take care of that with a move? for example if you interrupt a windows explorer move, you end up with a temp file at the destination and the original still there. So it seems to me a big performa...

Further evidence that it copies and deletes rather than moves: I regularly have the program infinitely hang when doing an extended save as, as previously reported in a bug post here. http://www.kolor.com/forum/t12569-apg-2.5.2,w7-64-extended-save-as-move-images-hangs When I kill the process, the des...

[Win 7 x64 APG 2.5.2] Extended save as question

On my windows 7 x64 machines, I've noticed extended save as with the move files options can take quite a while for large numbers of images. I happened to have resource monitor open while doing it and noticed a high disk usage rate. I can see the system process reading the files and the autopano proc...

[APG 2.5.2 Win7 x64] 15mm fisheye lens on 1.3x sensor

The canon 15mm fisheye lens on a 1DmarkIV isn't recognized as a fisheye lens. It thinks it's a 19mm regular lens. If I manually change it to fisheye, it stitches just fine with full frame fisheyes I caputred at the same time, so it's just a lens database issue I think.

Is there any way to have the color correction work only with in a layer? i.e. in a bracketed panorama, I want to color correct all the normal ones relative to other normal ones, and dark ones with other dark ones, but keep the dark ones dark.

I think it has to do with the difference between operating systems handling launching of programs. On windows it only works up to a limited number of files (I'm guessing it has to do with windows having a 255 character limit for arguments to a program - at least it used to) but I'm not with kolor an...

Version 2.6 (currently in beta) adds an actual lightroom plugin (so you select the pictures then under plugin extras choose autopano) so give that a try if you are willing to put up with teething issues of a beta, or wait for the final 2.6 release.

I've been hoping for a smartphone application to do this. DSLR controller for android looks promising (apple doesn't allow app access to USB from what I understand). Focus stacking though is painful enough that I'd consider the promote. HDR is too easy to do in camera to make it worth $300. photosho...

From what I've understood previously, the memory used in the preference setting is the amount allocated for rendering only at startup, so the program has to then allocate memory as it goes for the detection and other functions.
