I am, there were a few shaded and over bright areas, particularly taking into account the portion where I'm shooting into the sun.
I'll check gigapan stitch results shortly.

I'm using a Nikon D2, and a 18-70 lens at 18mm.
I'm not sure how to set the horizon, through auto horizon tool doesn't seem to make any changes.

Stitching & Shooting my first 360 degree (hemi-) sphere

I’ve tried to shoot & stitch my first half-sphere panorama, and I’m not sure whether I’ve shot it wrong, or if I just need to change a few settings in apg to get it working. First things first, it’s taken with a Gigapan head, so I’m using the import wizard from that. It’s set to the corr...

Well at the moment I'm trying an image that gives me around a 1:2 ratio:

10Mpix * 4 * 840 Images (total split into 3 brackets) = 33.6GB & I have 16 GB of ram

Unfortunately the RAM, CPU and the disks are old and slow, but just from the ratio it should eventually complete.

It may also be useful to give the user an option to see more details of the progress through a given stage. It would be good to have more detailed progress automatically revealed for larger tasks, as these are the ones where the motion of the existing progress bar can appear to stall for extended pe...

Stitching work flow suggestions for a time lapse project

Evening all, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for an easy way to create a single stitched image from each triplet of images taken in a time lapse project. There are a few challenges: The images came from cameras which didn't always write exif info correctly. They're currently named left...

It would be handy to be able to in some way create exposure layers one at a time, and then stitch them together when they're done. I don't know much about the advantages and disadvantages of doing this all in the same software, but doing one layer at a time means that resuming failed tasks or schedu...

I do try to, but Windows complains any time any of my disks get completely full - it comes up with a "do you want to tidy this disk" message, which I'm sure eats at least some processor time etc.

At the moment I'm using a ruler and measuring the number of mm the bar advances every 2-3 hours, it's at least giving me a clue. To be honest though once you've got a progress bar it's usually pretty trivial in most programming languages to get a duration estimate - probably simpler even than my rul...

Custom use of scratch drives

Rather than one big scratch disk I've got a lot of disks each with space on them. I've set up the software to use them all, and so it does. Unfortunately it uses every last byte on a disk before moving on to the next one, and this makes windows do all kinds of strange things at times. Would it be po...

Render ETA calculation

I've probably got one of the worst PCs I could hope to render images on, but I don't mind leaving renders running for a few days. What would be useful though is a rough estimate of how long is remaining on a render or detection process. I realise that it would be a bit of a rough guess, but if it wa...
