Hello,

There is indeed something strange here...
Could you please upload the source pictures and the .pano to the FTP server so that we can give a deeper look at it ? (http://www.kolor.com/forum/t766-ftp-server).

Thanks,
Thomas

Hello, If you use the gigapan importer, then, there will some manual work. Once you have your gigapan panorama, open the editor and then add your 100mm pictures to the panorama using the layer editor. Then, you have to move manually each 100mm picture to their approximate location, and then run 'Geo...

Hello, Welcome on the forum. You can mix pictures with different focals in a single pano. You don't need to separate them into layers. One important thing is that the rendering engine enables you to give priority to "long focal" pictures. You can find it in the 'Quick preview' options. It makes the ...

Hello, This is indeed a bug introduced in the 3.0.4 Autopano version. This bug is really annoying, and therefore we plan a bug fix release during next week. The only way to work around this problem is to render only the panorma (no layers and no individual images), and do that for each layer. We rea...

Excellente nouvelle.

Cordialement,
Thomas

Hello, Sorry for the delay, here is an update on that topic. The 2 issues are distinct. to aeriscera: * The problem is now fixed. The coming release will contain the fix. to toybox: * The problem is that the stacks in your pano are not build. So, there is no way for the antighost to find a solution ...

Hello, Several customers have reported such behavior. There are indeed some fisheye testcases that are not perfectly stitched with the default settings. Nevertheless, setting the 'detection quality' to high seems to resolve these cases. By the way, we are working on this topic to further improve the...

Hello Martin,

Analyzing your images a little more enables us to find an issue (#1800). We already have a fix for that, and it makes your panorama to be stitched perfectly with automatic detection. This fix will be included in the coming version.

Thanks,
Thomas

No. In a perfect world, you would not have do that trick. But, as the computed focal value is not what it should be with the default settings, you have to remove that links to avoid focal divergence.
We plan to study why.

Hello Martin,

As you have lots of images with almost no features and that some pics are almost overexposed, you will have to clean lots of control points to achieve the same result. I did not give it a try, it is only a guess.

I'll give this a go, but as others have mentioned, it sounds like a lot of clicks. Could you just outline the tools you used to quickly remove the links and move the panorama? I presume triggering a second optimization is straightforward? The images have finished uploading by the way, so all the br...

Hello Martin, We give a look at your images. We study the case with 3 brackets because of missing images, but that does not change anything. To have a nice result, we did the gigapan import with 3 images per bracket, using hard links for stacks. We also set the skip optimization to have just have im...

Hello Martin, I am quite surprised with the results you have since the bad links are on areas with potential features and good ones on featureless areas... To investigate more, it would be good to have some of your pictures (maybe only one bracket). You can upload them on our ftp server ( http://www...

Hello Georg,

Renan and I took some time to reproduce this bug. It appears that the only case were we 'loose' the xml positions is when the user modify the group settings by pressing the 'Restore defaults' button in one of the tabs. Does it sounds like something you did ?

Thanks,
Thomas

Thanks for the picture. I just gave a look at it, and it seems ok. I think your harddrive is having troubles... It explains why the file read error, and it can also be the cause of the rendering problem. You might try to move all your pictures to a new harddrive, and render again your pano (at 10%) ...
