I mention that there is another recent thread about the same topic: http://www.autopano.net/forum/t9065-pixelation-in-images-editor .

This thread provides the screenshot the other thread ask for.

Is there an answer 'out there'?

One thing to try is:

In the Panorama Editor, select Edit | Settings. The first item displayed, under 'Preview Quality', is 'Size'. Making that larger may help.

The two screenshots demonstrate 'BKT' working with APG2.0.7 and 2.0.8. The images were taken with an EOS7D using AEB -1.67, -0.33, +1.00 I loaded the images into APG using both 'Browse folder' and 'Select Images' with the same result. Remark: reviewing this posting just now, I notice that while we h...

To mention another aspect of APG, while staying with bugsplats. Like yourself, I tend to take a lot of panoramas but with only a relatively small number of images in each. I have got reconciled to APG falling over because of memory management problems. I have found I can reduce the amount of rework ...

1. This is a very old trick (at least on this forum) but a quick way, when viewing images in APP/G's 'groups', to check where one panorama finishes and another starts is to take a shot at the end of each pano which is distinctive. I take a photo of my hand in front of the lens... The downside of thi...

I very strongly support this suggestion. My understanding (after three year's experience with various versions of APP/G) is that the majority of the crashes I get are caused by memory availability problems. Also, because of the architecture of APP/G, solving those problems has proved hard. Therefore...

[APG 2.0.4 XP SP3 noGPU] render pano wrong orientation squeezed result

I have produced a pano from 3 images of the same shot produced using automatic exposure bracketing: images numbers are 5323 to 5325. Screenshots are: 1. of image 5323 displayed by APG by clicking thumbnail in group 2. of pano displayed in panorama editor with incorrect orientation 3. of that pano wi...

Alexandre, I can reproduce this bug but not always -seems to be a question of timing. I am not using drag-and-drop. I am highlighting pano files in my Explorer replacement (PowerDesk7) and then pressinging 'Enter' to run them. The sequence that can cause APG to fall over goes: 1. highlight 2 .panos ...

[APG 2.0.4 XP SP3 noGPU] reloaded pano file gives bad revolve

This report compares what happens when a panorama detected with the incorrect orientation is revolved - in the case I am reporting by 90 degrees clockwise. I am comparing two cases: Case 1: panorama is detected and the pano file is created without the revolve; the pano file is then reloaded and the ...

[APG 2.0.4 XP SP3 noGPU] load many .pano from Explorer causes delete

I am reviewing a folder of .pano files. To reproduce this bug, I: 1. Select one or more .pano files in my Explorer substitute (PowerDesk Pro V7) and assert them - APG kicks off and begins to load the panos 2. While those panos are loading I select, in Explorer, another 2 or more panos and assert the...

Those who have been around in this forum for a while may remember that Alexandre agreed that the 2000th user to sign up would get a free 2009 Panobook. As I write this, the user count is 2929. Alexandre has kindly agreed that the 3000th user will get a 2010 Panobook free, including shipping. Note: I...

In Panorama Editor: Layers option to process 'unselected'

There are various conditions where I want to process a subset of images, not necessarily next to each other in the image list in the Layers Editor of the Panorama Editor. A typical workflow is to open the Pano Editor, select Layers and then 'unselect' all the images, so that none are displayed. I ca...

Alexandre, I fear this is not a straightforward case: we need more background. The original image set was taken 'semi-orthographic': that is, I moved parellel to the buildings during the shoot - and I am across a pretty-wide street from them but, of course, I could not move upwards orthogonally, not...
