So, I took an HDR panorama of 7 brackets, but only want to use 5. Is there a way to easily increase or decrease the number of brackets in the XML file? It didn't appear that it was quite possible yet to change it by x number up or down?

This was my first public demonstration of full sky star trails, I've done several more but they really weren't worth sharing (bad weather, overcast skies, moon movement, dew/frost, etc.), haha!

Well, for starters more night timelapses with full sky star trails like I attempted before. Now that I have virtually unlimited camera power, haha! I will need to get an 8mm fisheye or shave a Nikon 10.5mm (preferably--wider aperture for stars) so I can shoot a sphere with less photos to get smaller...

I have my Panoneed on a Really Right Stuff Versa Series 3 tripod with a leveler and a clamp (I installed a dovetail plate on the bottom of the Panoneed). Vibration is not an issue on that platform. Highly recommended! Here's a video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfritLXHjFo&feature=share&lis...

Earlier this spring I took a spherical panorama of my family on a geodome at the playground for a new family photo. It has received an amazing amount of good feedback on Facebook and other social media sites. Maybe spherical group shots will be the next new fad now that cell phones can take low qual...

360° HDR timelapse video

I don't know if this belongs in this forum thread or not, but feel free to move it to the correct thread if I mis-posted. I wanted to share a 360° HDR spherical timelapse I took with a Panoneed and two Promote Controls and then displayed with KRPano. I'm hoping that PanoTour Pro 2.0 will include som...

Drew, I didn't get a chance to talk much about the Promote Control on the phone with you, but I absolutely agree and recommend one if you want to do much with HDR, timelapses, or bulb ramping. They make life so much easier!

Best of luck!

What resolutions and bitrates are being recommended for local display of desktop and iPads (are iPads limited to 1920 wide?) and also for internet streaming? I'm struggling to find a balance that works and looks good.

I wonder when it will be possible to do multi resolution tiling with video? The huge limitation right now is that the entire sphere must be downloaded and played, and most internet connections are not capable of streaming 720p in real time, let alone 50MP video. 1920 x 960 looks like #### at 8Mbps w...

Alexandre, I'm taking 360° timelapses with a Panoneed head and Promote Control. I've already got several hundred to several thousand equirectangular frames that I'm trying to turn into a video to play smoothly with KRPano. I'm currently rendering the video with either After Effects or Premiere Pro. ...

So, to post an update about the Panoneed. I've been working with Josef and a friend at Promote Control to be able to take timelapse panoramas. Here's my first attempt at night:

Klaus, yup! ;-) Every now and then I push a scene a little into HDR cartoonish world on purpose. Photographers generally don't like it much, but other folks love it for some reason. At any rate, they get the most comments from both sides of the aisle, LOL! This one I wanted to have a somewhat heaven...

Pine Tree Forest at Sunset

This small forest of pine trees is just a short walk from my house, right off the back field. I often walk up this little hill and sit and think on a large rock nestled in the bushes. At sunset a splash of golden light sets all the pine needles ablaze. You wouldn't know it today, but 100 years ago t...

LOL! It's a 100+yr old farm house that my wife's great, great grandfather built. We've been fixing it up. New metal roof, new windows and siding the back side (the coldest wind coming across the pond hits that side). I haven't got to windows, shutters, and siding on this front side yet though, it's ...

Full sky Milky Way panoramas

I've been working on these off and on since I took them last July, 2012. Finally got them all stitched and a virtual tour made with PanoTour Pro. Enjoy!!! http://www.aaronpriestphoto.com/pano/2012-07-13_Milky_Way/ Some still shots can be seen on my blog: http://www.aaronpriestphoto.com/2013/04/milky...

Well, I used to use 2 rows of 6 photos at 14mm (every 60° in rotation and pointed 40° up and 40° down), and 3 rows of 12 at 24mm (every 30° in rotation and pointed 55° up, 0° level, and 55° down) when I shot with a manual head. This gave me good results. Now I shoot with a Panoneed and use .xml file...

Howland Dam at Sunset

I took this spherical panorama at sunset of the dam on the Penobscot River in Howland, Maine last Thursday. I waited half an hour for the sunburst to shine through this window, and it only lasted for twelve seconds! I’ve visited this spot several times over the past year but the light was never qu...
