Klaus, for this one I just ended up making my own crops in Photoshop and substituting the previews that Panotour created with my custom previews to get rid of the distortion and make the scenes more recognizable. I did this after my last final export out of Panotour of course. http://www.aaronpriest...

Just a wrap up note, Gérald was able to fix my project file for me so I didn't have to start over. Yay!!! Here was his reply: Hello Aaron, Your project file contained 2 erroneous spots on the Bing map. The panorama on which they were linked was badly described in the project file. I removed the 2 sp...

I looked at the .kpt in Notepad, hoping there was something that could be edited to revive it. I didn't write to it though. It is editable as far as permissions, etc. go and I saw no corruption in it. I'll email it over to you. I really wish there was an import feature from .kpt to salvage projects ...

Panotour Pro 1.8 crashes and stops responding when loading file

Every now and then Panotour just refuses to open a previously saved file and I have to start all over from scratch. This time it happened in the middle of a large project and I really don't want to recreate four hours of work. Any suggestions? Windows 7 x64, Panotour Pro 1.8 Problem signature: Probl...

How to set gyro support enabled but turned off by default?

I have a gyro button working in my menu on an iPad and iPhone and not displaying on a desktop. Works great. I'd like it disabled by default but available to turn on. When I set enabled="false" in my virtualtour.xml for the gyro plugin, the menu icon doesn't even appear, like all gyro support was rem...

Yes, that is exactly what I'm looking to do, especially the "autotour" feature of the first example!

I'd found that krpano thread in their forums, but the link to download the plugin is dead.

Thumbnails to feature areas in an image, sort of like snapshots?

I've created my first panotour (but not published it live just yet). I'd like to create some thumbnails that point to specific areas or features in the 360x180 image (it's a single panorama), sort of like the snapshot feature on gigapan.com (although I don't care about the public creating them and s...

I too have this question. Going from RAW files ends up with sRGB being assigned when I'd rather ProPhoto RGB.

Animate little planet stereographic projection in a video

I'm making a video in Premiere Pro and I'd like to animate a nice move from a stereographic projection (little planet) and slowly zoom in to a normal view. Any idea how to achieve this? I never could get subblue's pixel bender plugin to work with After Effects CS5 or 5.5 (I think because they were 6...

If I may, in what you don't like the Epic Pro and the Panogear respectively? My biggest issue is that neither support my D700 and 14-24mm or 24-70mm at their no-parallax points. The camera hits the mount if I slide it back that far. I also can't center the camera over the tripod column with the Mer...

Ah, OK! I use the mirror lock up feature on the Promote Control already, so I won't need it enabled twice, so long as I leave enough time delay for the HDR bracket plus mirror lockup on the TC. I need to find a 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable tomorrow since the PC has the smaller port for the remote trigger au...

Thank you very much for your responses Josef, that helps! Does it matter if the 3.5mm cable from the TC to the Promote is stereo or mono? I'll see if I can find one when I get back to the office. I'll also post a photo of the DC to DC cable too. There was also a 2.5mm to 2.5mm stereo cable, that I a...

New Panogear customer, several questions about the Touch Control Panel

I bought a Panogear and Touch Control Panel and I have a few questions after using it for a couple days. The firmware on the Touch Control Panel says 2.5. 1. It won’t shoot the nadir and zenith shots for a spherical panorama. It will do one or the other depending how I orient the bracket, but not ...

Having just purchased both a Gigapan Epic Pro and a Kolor Panogear--and not being very happy with either for my D700, 14-24mm, and spherical photos--THIS thing really has my attention! When will it be available and for how much $ US do you think? I already have the touch control panel. I would reall...
